Family loses racehorses, stables to fire

FLORESVILLE — A local family has lost their stable, where they spent more than 20 years training racehorses, to a fire. Elida and Ignacio Bustamante are second generation horse trainers who moved to Floresville in 2003. Elida’s father spent a lifetime of training racehorses in Three Rivers, where Elida and Ignacio lived most of their lives. Their home in Floresville on S.H. 97 is on the same property where they do their training.
