Jim Cathey to retire as Floresville band director; reception May 21

The Floresville High School Band Boosters invite community members, band alumni and parents, and the Floresville Independent School District community to join them Thursday, May 21, to honor high school Band Director Jim Cathey. Cathey is retiring after leading the Mighty Tiger Band for more than 20 years. He came to the Floresville ISD in 2005. A retirement party and farewell will take place Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Floresville High School auditorium; this will include a final concert, followed by a reception.
