Scammer wants to track driver while he 'turns himself in'

Clever schemers with nefarious intentions continue to come up with new ways to try to take advantage of people. Two Falls City residents were the recent targets of a scam by phone. Crystal and Jeffery Heubaum were driving April 28 when the call came in. “We received a call from someone claiming to be with the Karnes County Sheriff’s Office, telling Jeff there was a criminal warrant for his arrest,” Crystal said.
