Floresville mayor, new city councilman take oaths of office

In a brief special meeting May 11, the Floresville City Council certified the vote totals and declared the winners of the May 2 city council election. Floresville City Secretary Evelyn Garcia announced the results of the canvass of the election returns; the vote totals are as follows: •Mayor — Gloria Morales Cantu, 640; Marissa Ximenez, 523 •Place 1 — Daniel Tejada, 492; Dora Barrera Cantu, 661 •Place 2 — Mario Morones (unopposed), 788.
