New mayor committed to 'wholesome environment' for people of Elmendorf

George Dziuk Jr. was sworn in May 21 as mayor of Elmendorf, following the resignation of former Mayor Mike Gonzales. Before his appointment as mayor, Dziuk served the city for 10 years, progressing from board and commission appointments to being elected unopposed to Elmendorf City Council Place 3. Gonzales, said Dziuk, “hands me a city that is poised to morph into a great place to live.
