Texas Rangers investigate gunshot death in Helton Park

The Texas Rangers, partnered with the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, are investigating the death of a woman, following an incident June 23 in Helton Nature Park. At approximately 2:54 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a deceased person in the park north of Floresville. Upon arrival, the body of an adult female was located on the bank of the San Antonio River, according to sheriff’s office Public Information Officer Skylar Dailey.
