Crash Sunday on S.H.97 kills one, closes highway

The cause of a Sunday-morning crash on S.H. 97 in Wilson County that killed a Luling man remains under investigation. According to Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Highway Patrol Sgt. Orlando De Luna Jr., the crash occurred at approximately 3 a.m. July 12, on S.H.97 near mile marker 558 in eastern Wilson County. According to the preliminary investigation, Kristopher Colby Adam Alfaro, 20, of Luling, was traveling west on S.H. 97 in a 1999 Ford Taurus.
