Floresville opens new police station

Floresville Mayor Gloria Morales Cantu (center) and Floresville Police Department officers and staff applaud as police Chief Anthony Flores cuts the ribbon — actually a police caution tape — on July 24 to officially open the department’s new station, located at 920 C St. The new, more secure, technologically up-to-date, and more spacious structure succeeds the former post office the department has been using, next door to the new building. Addressing the local community, Flores said “This police station belongs to you.”
