Donations invited for Blue Santa program

It may be midsummer, but the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office and Floresville Police Department are encouraging area residents and organizations to think of Christmas — specifically, their “Blue Santa” program. Blue Santa helps provide Christmas gifts for area families in need, for children in those households ages 12 and younger. A first-responder dodgeball tournament June 24 raised awareness for the program and invited attendees to donate gifts as the price of admission.
