Floresville gas leak prompts full emergency response

The city of Floresville got a test of its emergency response procedures with a recent gas leak. Floresville police officers responded to reports of the smell of gas in the 1100 block of Plum Street north of downtown July 28; detecting a strong odor of natural gas, they closed Third and Plum streets in the vicinity as a precaution. The incident prompted the Floresville Police Department to implement a full emergency response.
