Join the Floresville Lions Club for its next monthly meeting on Thursday, Aug. 13. The Lions meet on the second Thursday of each month at noon, at Jack’s Café, 507 10th St. (U.S. 181) in Floresville. When it comes to meeting challenges, the Lions Club’s response is simple: We serve. In 207 countries, in hospitals and senior centers, in regions battered by natural disaster, in schools and eyeglass recycling centers, Lions are doing community volunteer work — helping, leading, planning, and supporting.
