Poth ISD to propose VATRE on Nov. 3 ballot

The Poth Independent School District (ISD) will propose a voter approval tax rate election — “VATRE” — on the Nov. 3 ballots. A VATRE is used to adjust a school district’s tax rate, changing the maintenance and operations (M&O) portion of a district’s property-tax rate to allow for perpetual spending flexibility, according to information Poth ISD has released.
