Museum to host WASP celebration

The National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg invites the public to celebrate the birthday of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) with an afternoon of activities, games and refreshments on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 2-4 p.m., in the Nimitz Ballroom. The WASP Birthday Party will offer guests an engaging way to learn about World War II aviation and the women who served as pilots through the Women Airforce Service Pilots program. Activities throughout the afternoon will be designed to entertain and educate visitors of all ages while recognizing the lasting legacy of the WASP. The event is free....
