The Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustangs ushered in the 2026 volleyball season by creating a new tradition, hosting the program’s first-ever Midnight Madness practice to celebrate the official start of UIL volleyball workouts. Held as a closed practice in the Nixon-Smiley High School Gym, the event marked a memorable milestone for the Lady Mustang program. The late-night practice was designed to energize, excite, and give purpose to the opening day of the season while reinforcing the team’s commitment to hard work and unity.
