Editor: Re: “Serving for a century: Poth Volunteer Fire Department celebrates 100 years,” Aug. 5 Congratulations and a huge thank you to our Poth Volunteer Fire Department on celebrating 100 years of service. Poth is blessed to have such a dedicated volunteer organization. While many of our citizens leave town every day to work elsewhere, I have always felt our city was in good hands while we were away, knowing that our VFD was taking care of our community. A special thanks to Lawrence Jansky, who has served our community throughout the years. NELL LYSSYPoth
