Floresville council fills boards, weighs TML attendance

Despite contention over who and how to appoint, the Floresville City Council managed to fill vacancies on some city boards and committees Aug. 12. City Parks and Recreation Director Reena Gonzalez advised two vacancies remained on the Floresville 4A Corp. (FEDC) board, which oversees operations of the Floresville Event Center. Councilmen Jake Lamberth and Mario Morones had appointments to the board outstanding, the council was told. Discussion began with Lamberth saying he wished to appoint Callan Gawlik.
