Learn 'Stop the Bleed' Aug. 26 in Floresville

The Wilson County Emergency Management Office invites community members to participate in a Stop the Bleed course, on Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 6-8 p.m. Stop the Bleed is a hands-on training program designed to empower bystanders to act as immediate responders in bleeding emergencies before professional help arrives. Participants learn to recognize life-threatening bleeding and respond quickly and effectively using three primary techniques — applying direct pressure, packing a wound, and using a tourniquet.
