CPS Energy and AEP Texas will host three “open house” meetings next week in Alice, George West, and Floresville for community members to learn more about construction of 150 miles of new 765 kV transmission line proposed through parts of Atascosa, Bee, Bexar, Duval, Jim Wells, Karnes, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces, San Patricio, and Wilson counties. The project will connect AEP’s Blu Lacy Station and CPS Energy’s Howard Station. Various routes for the high-power electrical lines are under consideration.
