Need therapy but can't afford it? Here are some tips. Becuase everyone should try out therapy.
welcome back you bitches. What's up? That's where we're starting now what's up, biatches? Biatches, not for us, oh yeah, no hey guys, welcome back.
Speaker 2Oh yeah, I don't know, are we okay?
Speaker 1hey guys, welcome back. It's you go, karina and malini.
Speaker 2What's up y'all?
Speaker 1how's it going? How's your day?
Speaker 2yeah, tell us all about it as we go ahead and start sparking up, okay that's enough, okay, so my day how's your day?
Speaker 1that's pretty interesting. I went in at 12 and I had therapy at nine, which was great. I learned a couple of things about myself. I learned that when something is making me upset is because it's weird. I don't know how to explain it, but it's like I didn't realize that it was bothering me. You know what I'm saying. You know it's just like huh, like it will make me feel like it will make me feel judged, but I didn't know that. I didn't like it. I don't know.
Speaker 2It's complicated it's good that you're learning, though, yeah, that's the important part is the understanding process yeah, but how was your day? My day was pretty good. I was just I work. I went to my mom's I might be getting furniture, so that's interesting oh nice yes dining room table. Oh nice, yes. Look who's getting big furniture For real we're upgrading from eating on the couch to eating on a table.
Speaker 1Okay, bitch, I see you. Hey, I love that, though it reminds me of when I first started.
Speaker 2Yeah, it's okay, I'm going through Facebook market.
Speaker 1I love that. I love that. I wonder if I have anything that I can give you. I don't know I have a whole lot of storage of things that I Do. You have a lot, ooh, you don't like to cook and bake, do you?
Speaker 2I like to cook, I don't. I'm not good at baking.
Speaker 1Okay, there's a lot of things that Jonathan has bought me news when it comes to kitchenware.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Jonathan has bought me needles. When it comes to kitchenware, I can go through some of the stuff that I have duplicate. I can give them to you, dude, I'll take pots and pans yeah, okay, I'm gonna do that now, yeah for sure.
Speaker 2Thanks, dude yeah, yeah, you know like oh yeah, shit, that's the table he pulled it up. Shit, what that mesa? That was nice. Oh, that's the table he pulled it up. What La mesa?
Speaker 1That was nice. Oh, that's, oh, it's going to be glass. Yeah, that is nice Because my Like.
Speaker 2I have those mesitas in the living room that are glass, that they're just like side tables.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, they're tables, so I'm like it fits the theme. Yeah, I love glass Mm-hmm.
Speaker 2Yeah, you just got to keep it clean. That's the worst part.
Speaker 1Mm-hmm, it's actually hard To keep clean. To keep it clean, mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Speaker 2You know, my mom taught me a trick If you spray vinegar con agua y limon on glass, it won't go and keep it more like, it won't go ahead and stain as much compared to like regular cleaners.
Speaker 1Hmm, because you know, I've had that glass table for literally like years, Like back when my mom was still here. My mom, you know, she left to Mexico six years ago.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1So we've had them for what like eight, nine years, so I feel like they're pretty good.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1But I try to keep them clean. But here my little eyes, sticky fingers. This makes it hard Me too with the tits.
Speaker 2I'm going to be touching shit.
Speaker 1He's just a messy eater. I can't talk because I get my shirt dirty every single fucking time, but I just get my shirt dirty, you know. I keep all the food in my plate, from my plate to my mouth, I guess because I'm a fat ass, right, yeah? But like yeah, like straight this motherfucker be feeding his toes, his belly button, his chin hair, fucking his ass.
Speaker 2The guinea pigs the floor and it's just like damn, like he's just trying to spread it all around.
Speaker 1Oh, for real, that just means you're cooking so good.
Speaker 2He's trying to spread it.
Speaker 1No Girl, do not try to fucking defend him.
Speaker 2Hell, he in bed. He was like hey, I got a little bit of sauce on my elbow. Hell, no bitch.
Speaker 1I hate when he eats in the bed.
Speaker 2Oh, I can't say shit I be eating in there.
Speaker 1Yeah, you're right here and I tell you your face. I hate when he eats in the bed. I hate when you eat in the bed.
Speaker 2See, I can't say shit because I hate it too whenever I find crumbs.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2And it's so fucking annoying, I'm like bitch, fuck you. And then I'm like, well, quien mas lo hizo, pero yo. So I'm like fuck me bro. I was like 12 at night half asleep.
Speaker 1Dude, I did that to him one time and he hasn't really done it ever since. Like he had eight, and I was like make sure you clean the thing. And like he did it, luego luego que me metí a la cama. I felt it and I was just like, okay, like, but I was really tired, so I was going to try to sleep through it. So I fucking woke his ass up and I was like I was pissed.
Speaker 1I was like, clean this goddamn bed up right now Get up and he was like oh, and then I he cleaned the bed and I got back in the bed and I was like, don't do that again.
Speaker 2Just have a sleep, good night. And I went, turned around, basically Turn yeah, but I went back to sleep Like god damn it.
Speaker 1Yeah, I just can't, I can't. I also that's one of the reasons why I can't walk around barefooted, because I can't do stuff on my feet, like if the floor is not clean, like whenever Jonathan does Krusty Dusty to sweep him up, because Krusty Dusty sweeps him off for us and whenever he gets him going I walk on my barefoot and I enjoy it. I'm like hell yeah.
Speaker 2A little vacuum cleaner. Yeah, a name named Krusty Dusty. I've heard that those things are really good.
Speaker 1They are. They're amazing. I love it. It sweeps all over the floor and in our room and then it mops and it has different type of sections that you can do like a little bit, or you can do like a lot, like how powerful you want it to be. But does it work with a carpet or not? Yeah, my room. Really yeah it does and it's pretty cool because it maps your house so like you can literally like control it on your phone. Okay, not me promoting them.
Speaker 2For real, but no, it is pretty. Sponsors.
Speaker 1Okay, for real, I'm not going to say the name until they at us. No.
Speaker 2For real.
Speaker 1No, I'm just playing, but no, it's pretty dope, it's. You can control it on your phone, so like you can just turn it on from your house no mames and like you can set it to. Like you can set it to when you're leaving so you can start it, and then you leave and it'll start doing it and then, for whatever reason it gets stuck somewhere, it sends you a notification, like if it's like halfway, it'll charge itself and then it'll charge itself and then it'll restart where it left off. So it's pretty fucking dope, yeah. And then the one that we have empties itself. Actually, because there's some that you have to empty it out whenever you're like, whenever it's done, it's cycle, but mine has its own trash can, so when it's done like it empties itself out, and when they were that bag's full, then we just switch the bag out and it notifies you.
Speaker 2Mm-hmm También. It's pretty fucking dope yeah.
Speaker 1And if something's wrong with it, like it tells you Like I'm off trail or I'm stuck, or I'm flipped or I can't see Because it's a little sensor, and she said if he goes underneath somewhere and it blocks the sensor, like it'll let you know like, hey, I'm stuck, I can't see where I'm at.
Speaker 2You just have to come out and get it.
Speaker 1Yeah, and then you just whatever it is, and you just push like pretty much like power again and let it go on by this day, mm-hmm.
Speaker 2Damn.
Speaker 1Yeah, what did you get? It was a birthday gift for Jonathanathan. Actually, I mean a christmas gift. Sorry, that's what jonathan wanted for christmas. It was a damn thing of that dang.
Speaker 2So it was three something that's not bad, though, for it to change itself and everything.
Speaker 1No damn, I can't remember. Yeah, so I can't. Was it three? Well, you know, you know how much it was, because you told me what you wanted. Right, something like that. Like these are like 350, that's not bad. Yeah, oh shit. Oh, that was crazy, yeah oh my miss.
Speaker 2It like cleans your whole floor yeah, it's pretty fucking dope.
Speaker 1Yeah, investment, investment, it is pretty cool. It is pretty cool, it's um. I enjoy it. It makes me my, it makes our life easier well, yeah, cause you don't?
Speaker 2have to worry about sleeping mhm cause yeah, there are days where I have to like come home and there's cat litter everywhere, there's bed litter everywhere.
Speaker 1Yeah, these motherfuckers right here been throwing their caca all over the floor and I'm like god damn their food, their hay, and I'm like you bitches for real, like y'all having a party okay, I'm telling y'all get out and clean you dirty whores I'm talking about my guinea pigs, by the way yeah, for real I don't know what she has. Jonathan just got him a new water bottle.
Speaker 2Ooh, how fancy. I know I also just grabbed one of the gallon automatic for the cats.
Speaker 1I don't know if we told our peeps, oh, I adopted kitties, yeah, so my mother-in-law found three little kitties Kittens, right, mm-hmm, kittens, yeah, yeah. And one day my nanny had come over, or, yeah, right, yeah. And we were just talking about like cats and she was telling me about like this you know her cat story, her cat story.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Her cat trauma, my previous cat, yeah, and dad. Just I was just like and she knows she had mentioned about you were thinking about probably getting a cat or something on your own, and I was like, oh shit, well, I mean, I got like three for free for real and I was like, well, let me go look at one, yeah, because I told her I'm like she has three, if you want one, yeah, and that was like the main idea.
Speaker 2And then when I got there, they were just like. They were just so cute and all Like they wanted to be together and I felt bad.
Speaker 1I was like you know what?
Speaker 2let me foster two of these and keep one, and then days went by.
Speaker 1You were supposed to give one to someone else.
Speaker 2Yes, I remember you telling me that they asked me about it and I was like I don't know bro, like I think he ran away.
Speaker 1I had no idea that she did it, not that I didn't watch them.
Speaker 2Listen to our podcast for real they be like ah, she still has it. Next family party I'll be like one of my cats is missing for real, but yeah, but yeah. So I ended up keeping all three of them. Two of them are orange, one of them is brownish. Their names are MJ, milo and Andrea.
Speaker 1Andrea, such a strong name. Yeah, I love that.
Speaker 2Homie picked it Nice.
Speaker 1Oh no, you have your own letter. Everybody has their own. Okay, Okay, so so I guess I feel like it's just. I'm just ready to dive into the conversation, yeah let's dive into today's episode. Yeah, so go ahead and hurry up and grab whatever your drug poison.
Speaker 2You better turn up the maruchan and high, because we about to start.
Speaker 1Okay, because it's about to get spicy, yes, and a little to get spicy, yes, and a little acid going in, one no.
Speaker 2Don't forget.
Speaker 1And we're going to call you bitches out for being bitches. No.
Speaker 2Fuck you no just kidding, con cariño, con cariño.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, yeah. Some of y'all, though Some of y'all can get these hands. You know who you are. You at me next time, bitch Nashway.
Speaker 2On site. On site, you know who you is. You know who you is.
Speaker 1Hell, no. Anyways, no violence, guys. Violence is not the answer.
Speaker 2Yeah, no, yeah, no, no, fuck that. Violence is not the answer.
Speaker 1Yeah, no, yeah, no, no. Fuck that. Violence is always the answer. Fuck what anybody says okay, I go to therapy, but fuck that.
Speaker 2She said it was okay, for real.
Speaker 1The purge is out once a year, homies. My therapist said whoop, that hoe.
Speaker 2No she didn't. For real. They're going to be like, hey, who?
Safe Space in Therapy
Speaker 1your therapist again For real. Hey, no, my therapist is great, though, like, honestly, like she was like my third one that I had to like, look for.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Because I just wasn't fucking with them. And don't even get me wrong, the first day, the first day, I was like you know what bitch I'm good. Actually that's how I felt. But then I looked at Jonathan because he walked with me and I was like I don't know, something in me was like just give it a try.
Speaker 1So I was like he was like something to me was like, just give it a try, yeah. So I was like he was like, are you gonna stay? And I was like yeah, so I went in there and it was crazy.
Speaker 2Wait, so you like went to meet her the first time, like in person. Mm-hmm, crazy. I don't know how that works.
Speaker 1It was a lot of different ways. Know how that works. It was a lot of different ways. We do video chat now, um, but we did in person. For the first couple of months, I think. For like first two months or so, we did it in person and now we do video chat. But it's like either way, like you can do it in any way in form that you want. Honestly, you can do it in person, you can do video chat, you can do phone call yeah yeah, so it's like it's available in so many different ways now but I feel like
Speaker 2I couldn't do it in phone call, because I would like completely forget that they're there and just like start scrolling on tiktok they'll be asking me questions and I'll be like huh, like, what are you even doing?
Speaker 1I'm like, I'm watching this historia no, yeah, like um, the people that need to know know my schedule, like when I have it, so they know that they don't contact me. I put on my phone and not disturb for that whole hour and the only one that can go through is Jonathan. So Jonathan's like he already knows, so he's not to call me. This is an emergency yeah other than that I do put my phone away, because I will end up being on my phone like 100%. Yeah, it's crazy.
Speaker 2Por eso te digo if it's phone call, they ain't seeing me. So yeah. They'll be like bitch. Are you on your phone, Mm-hmm, how you know.
Speaker 1You know, I actually do like seeing her in person, like going to a different place, really did help me personally. So I did tell her, like whenever she told me that she was just gonna, she was gonna stop doing in person and just go like work from home. Now that's what it was gonna be, just video chat. I don't know how to feel about that, because it's like you're changing my scenario. Yeah, so it's just like. I don't know, this is my safe place. You're making me choose a safe place, you know, and it's just like. So I I was having mentally a hard time trying to wrap my around my head that my house was going to be my safe place. Not that I don't feel safe in my house, but it's like these walls were about to hear some secrets that nobody's heard before you know. So it's just like you're changing those walls on me and I have to not have to tell a separate pair of walls.
Speaker 1Now you know, so it was just like that's how I was thinking about it. It wasn't. It wasn't like I don't feel safe in my house. It was just like it's very hard for me to be portable, so to have to be soft in this house it's like it just scares me a little bit yeah, but this hasn't been hard, actually, like I think it's all my mentality, uh.
Speaker 1But now that I'm like being medicated, like when it comes to doing stuff to better health, my anything like mental, physically, emotionally, like I just do it because I want to be better yeah so it's like I know that I have to do the work. Look at me being gay, talking about feelings. I know. Yeah, so I tried it out and so far I've been okay. Did a chatting with her, that's what's up. Yeah, so it's been cool.
Speaker 2I like it.
Speaker 1I have a spot, a specific spot, where I've been chatting her and I have my coffee, and then I have the sunlight coming in. So it's, it feels good, it feels coming in. So it's, it feels good, it feels really nice, yeah.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2But that's good too, because, like she gave you a chance to create your own safe space yeah, in your own home.
Speaker 1Yeah, it's pretty cool because I do it whenever. Literally by the time my therapy starts, jonathan has to be walking out the door, so it's like I'm literally by myself yeah yeah that's good though it's really nice.
Speaker 1I enjoy it. I highly recommend it to people that feel like they don't know how they don't have anybody to talk to, or they don't know how to talk to somebody. Like like I know we say this because by we, I'm also part of that Like how do you expect me to talk to a stranger when I can't even talk to the people I know, the people that I trust, the people that I will let decide who can pull my plug? When it comes to the call you know? But it's like it's just different because they literally don't know nothing about you. Like you are starting with a clean slave. Like this person knows nothing. You can literally tell this person what you want to tell them about yourself, but the whole point is for you to work on yourself. You have to talk about those harsh stuff. This is like the best person to be ugly crying with because they don't know you.
Speaker 2They don't know you and they don't know you. They don't know you and they don't know the people that you are associated with, so they can't be like opinionated on like you know what. No, this is the reason why you should listen to them, because you know, you've been friends with them for so many years and la-di-la-di-da and talk about feelings whenever they're giving you facts. They're giving you facts, they're giving you more of like the honest truth, because family and friends won't.
Speaker 1They won't give you that because they care about you. Therapy is about healing yes, yeah it's.
Speaker 2This is the one person that's not gonna judge you yeah, yeah, and they can't because they have nothing to go based off of and then all I'm saying is go to therapists that have gone to therapy themselves, because I've noticed that that was my issue.
Speaker 1Well, that was my issue. That helped me. The two other people that I tried to. They've never gone to therapy. My therapist now has, and the therapist that she trained, she told all of them to go to therapy and I feel like that makes sense. How are you going to teach me how to bake if you don't know how to bake? How are you going to tell me how to work on my mental health but you don't know how to work on your mental health? You don't know, even know what your mental health is, but you're gonna sit here and tell me what mine is. That's funny.
Speaker 1It's like the blind laying the blind but like that's their, that's their whole purpose, though, is to know exactly it's like you can you can only know how much in books though I feel like this is a, this is a career or like a path line that you emotionally also have to understand it so you can tell the difference between emotionally reacting and mentally reacting, because the way that we react is either emotionally or mentally, and one of them is right and one of them is wrong.
Speaker 1I was always reacting emotionally, not mentally, like I knew that I shouldn't have flipped the table, but emotionally told me to flip it, so I flipped it. So it's like how are they going to know what, emotionally, you're wrong if they never even process their own emotions? At least that's not how my therapist explained it, that's how I understood it. I might be wrong, but like I just feel like it makes sense regardless, though, like you can only learn so much I feel like that's in any career though you can only do so much in books and videos until you actually are out there and you get your hands dirty. Then you really don't know what you're dealing with.
Speaker 2But you're saying entonces, if you feel like your therapist understands those feelings because they understand them themselves about themselves, then it's okay.
Speaker 1No, I don't.
Speaker 2That just confused me Because like no, because, like to me this is interesting how you're putting it because, like I, haven't Okay, so I did go to therapy, like once when I was like 13.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2Like for I want to say like two months. But I but like I kind of like like just got her off my back for her to be like oh no, she don't need therapy, she's fine yeah like kind of shit, like because I'm, I just didn't want to go like I was, like you know what like. I feel like I understand my emotions enough and I can process them well.
Speaker 1I just I chose not to yeah, kind of yeah, and you know, I also had an experience like that myself. The first time I had therapy was in sixth grade. So whatever age you are in sixth grade.
Speaker 2One por doce trece.
Speaker 1Yeah, so that's how old I was. The school gave um, I was going through some shit. I got, I got caught with some shit in my backpack and went whatever, and my mom was like that was her first like.
Speaker 2Oh my God, you rebel. You were in sixth grade, yes.
Speaker 1I started smoking when I was 14.
Speaker 2Yeah, Like weed or cigarettes.
Speaker 1Uh yeah, like weed or cigarettes, weed Cigarettes. I didn't really start smoking cigarettes until I was like in my teenage years. Well, I was already in my teenage years, but like, more like towards like high school-ish, you want to start smoking cigarettes.
Speaker 2Usually reverse, but okay.
Speaker 1Yeah, Well, I was always. The only person that I was ever surrounded with cigarettes was my mom.
Speaker 2Yeah Well.
Speaker 1I was always. The only person that I was ever surrounded with cigarettes was my mom.
Speaker 2But I was always surrounded by weed, by like family members and friends.
Speaker 1Maybe because I grew up with güeros yeah, I grew up in the hood baby, I don't know Because like, yeah, it was the same story.
Speaker 2Like, oh, we started smoking cigarettes first and then it was weed.
Speaker 1I guess because I guess because I like smelling the cigarette on certain like the thing is like my mom never let me go to school smelling like cigarette. Like she never smoked in the house, she never smoked in the car, like my mom always smoked outside and away from me.
Speaker 2So shout out to that. Yeah, that's nice.
Speaker 1But I went to school with people that parents they smoke, smoking the car, that they're smoking the house. I had friends that I would go to their house and their house would smell like a whole ashtray. Like have you ever been to the casino? Yes, I have gone to people's houses and they smell straight up like that.
Speaker 2No, dude, because, okay, we were at Vegas, like not too long ago, Pinche casinos, they smelled so bad, it's crazy.
Speaker 1You opened the door and it was like boom, it's like the whole time you're there, you're breathing cigarettes. Yes, you're breathing cigarettes.
Speaker 2You're exhaling cigarettes, yeah.
Speaker 1If that was a fucking weed joint bitch, you wouldn't even make it out, you would be slum and pass out somewhere in the corner.
Speaker 2For real, you wouldn't even make it to your room. For real, everybody stays in the fucking lobby. Everybody just starts smoking in the fucking lobby.
Speaker 1Moms, no, mommas, they just start blowing it in your face.
Speaker 2For real at that point. You're dead on the ground. Just start blowing it in your face. For real at that point.
Speaker 1You're dead on the ground. Are you here? Are you here? Just lay down on the floor. Just a little bubbles from the bong, Just fucking kumbaya, or?
Speaker 2some fucking.
Speaker 1Harley, shit, hell, no, hell, yeah, damn. Now I want to do that For real. I'm gonna close all my AC vents hotbox the house hell yeah, jonathan, pack your shit, cause we about to hotbox the house, and don't forget your kids for real, they gonna come back.
Speaker 2Oh, bug died, hell yeah. They really gonna have their spy gadgets out. I don't see hell. No, died, hell yeah. They really gonna have their spy gadgets out Ahora. Si and the little gun noise, what was I gonna say?
Therapy Reflections and Self-Improvement
Speaker 1Oh, yeah, so that sixth grade, right yeah, the therapist thing, she was this white lady. She, oh, yeah so, dad, sixth grade, right yeah, the therapist thing, she was this white lady. She was an older white lady, okay, older white lady with this Mexican-ass mom. I get it, I get it. My mom, like my mom, did the best that she could. Colón que sabía. You know, she found like drugs on me and then she went to the school and like asked for, like you know, kind of like help because it's something that I wouldn't do. Like she was like I don't know, she's like, you know, with the wrong people. So then they put me to the side and tried to give me the snitch and they didn't. So they started making me go to this therapy, and so I I got to. I lost one of my classes because therapy was a period for me what the fuck they gave you therapy in school yeah and I was.
Speaker 2I never talked. Was it your counselor or was it an actual talked?
Speaker 1and um, I don't even remember much yeah, from then actually, but like no, like I've from all the different therapists that I've all the different therapists that I've experienced, the right one, you'll know. Like the right one. Like it just I don't know. Like it just it's she's.
Speaker 1She's one of the people that I've been able to talk about certain things without getting emotional, and for me that's really good, because sometimes I don't need to cry, I just need to say them out loud yeah you know, and it's like with with her, it's like I have the strength to say these things out loud that I'm very scared to say by myself, like that I tried to say in front of jonathan, but I can't because I get too worked up and it's like mocos everywhere and it's just crazy, you know, I can't even breathe and he keeps giving me all this tissue and it's just like and sometimes I just need to hear myself say it- yeah. I had a fucked up life.
Speaker 2Pero por eso like that's where, like how we were talking about earlier, the separation comes in and, like how, you're saying like which on the thing, you can't say it because you have too much feelings, because there's a connection there, there's a there's a line that connects you both, compared to like a complete stranger, there's nothing.
Speaker 1Yeah, so it's easier yeah, but I feel like she should understand me emotionally in her point of view. If she's gone through that to a certain extent, because she knows what the trauma was, she knows that the way that my mom raised me wasn't okay. Just because we're mexican, because she's mexican, because her mom did the same thing. So I think that's just like a bonus. You don't have to go to the same race therapist or the same gender therapist, because there's a lot of different of us that grew up in the same culture.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Because we're mixed, because we got adopted, because we chose our own families, type of shit, you know like. So it's forget about the race and forget about all of that, because every race has their own traditions on how we raise our kids and each one of them has their own fucked up ways.
Speaker 2you know, and I feel like it gives you different points of views also being able to go to, like having the opportunity actually to be able to communicate with people, um, just all around you don't like really know who you're talking to at first I don't know, I don't know if I'm gonna get some backlash on that, but I feel like you, I feel like a therapist should go to therapy.
Speaker 1If you don't want to go because you don't need it, okay, because I don't feel like everybody needs it, yeah, but I feel like everybody should at least try it yeah, I agree yeah, so you can really see what it is to be the patient, to see, to be on the other side of that notebook, because in the beginning, whenever I will sit down and she will start writing, it's like what the fuck are you writing? What did she?
Speaker 2write.
Speaker 1Well I wouldn't ask, but in my head what the fuck I was saying. Like you bitch, you talking shit right now.
Speaker 2For real.
Speaker 1Not for for reals, but then now it's just like now. I see her writing and like pero ya ni digo nada. Like nothing even comes up in my head, like it's just. I just keep talking.
Speaker 2I don't know what she's writing.
Speaker 1No, that's what I'm saying, like I got so used to it, though, because that's just me being in my head, like she's not talking shit, she's writing down important shit. Yeah, she's doing her job. She's not attacking me, she's not talking about how fat I am or my glasses, or you know what I'm saying Like she's not talking. You know, she's doing her job, she's writing down shit, because there's something wrong with you in the head, bitch.
Speaker 1You're thinking that this professional ass woman that doesn't know you is here talking shit about you Like well, come on, I'll be realistic. Yeah, this is why we're here bitch Calm down, so yeah. So eventually I just like it stopped bothering me, so like I'll look at her right and like literally nothing comes into mind. So yeah, like I don't worry about it anymore and I've noticed that that I started being out of my head a lot, which is fucking awesome.
Speaker 2Yes, dude, oh yeah.
Speaker 1Yeah, like I actually let myself enjoy things because I stay out of my fucking head. So shout out to my therapist man Round of applause for that woman. Yes.
Speaker 2Yes, it's her so.
Speaker 1I guess because, like this, this older white lady back then, you know, this is over a decade ago, so don't think about it in today's now and day, 13 years ago, type of shit. You know, a Mexican, una niña latina, with this older white lady. I wasn't going to talk to her Because one my mom always told me not to be talking to nobody.
Speaker 2My mom hated when I talked to people in English because she didn't know what the fuck I was saying your mom yeah, your mom didn't ever catch on to English.
Speaker 1She did, but like, eventually you know what I'm saying. I didn't learn English until I was in the fourth grade, so she didn't really start learning. So you know what I'm saying. I didn't learn English until I was in the fourth grade, so she didn't really start learning. So it was like me and her started learning English at the same time. You know what I'm saying. So it's like she knew it a little bit more because of her job, but she didn't really get to really truly understand it until we both had to learn it, type of thing.
Speaker 1Yeah, so it was like she didn't make it easy on me, like she wasn't mean to me, but like she didn't make it easy on me. Like she definitely made me feel like I was a lot of work and she didn't get paid enough to deal with me, type of shit. Like she didn't make me feel like that. Did I make it hard? Yeah, but what the fuck did you expect? Deal with me? Type of shit. Like she didn't make me feel like that.
Speaker 1Did I make it hard? Yeah, but what the fuck did you expect if you would have actually sat there and gave me the and just try to fight with me now, like with me for me type of shit, and then and I would have given you a little glimpse of what the fuck I've been going through, then I'm probably she would have saved me from a lot actually yeah if I would have had a big breakthrough with that therapist in sixth grade, I feel like I would have definitely had a way different path, like a hundred percent, because right after that shit just kind of got worse.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, so like that's crazy, so it's like go to therapy. Yeah, if you're a therapist, just go to therapy one time. Try it out, because you can change somebody's life. I feel like if she would have been emotionally available for herself, she would have been emotionally available for me. She would have just sat there and gave me a hug and let me cry, because that's what my therapist lets me do.
Speaker 2Yeah, crazy Mexicans go to therapy everybody stop right now.
Speaker 1Go to google. No, but I think it's pretty cool. Not everybody needs therapy, though, you know, like shout out, I hope to one day not need it. Yeah, I love it. Shout out, I hope to one day not need it. Yeah.
Speaker 2Like I love it but I hope to not always need it. I feel like for me, it's not that I don't need it. I feel, like it would be very beneficial if I actually went to therapy. Like it would help with like a lot of my issues, maybe get on medication that would help me stay on track and shit like that. But, it's more of like I feel like I'm doing okay with myself right now, that I'm just like mm.
Speaker 1You know type of shit.
Speaker 2And I don't know like, but I do agree, like, if, like, if you really like therapy is beneficial for you. Like, I'm not, not dissing on it.
Speaker 2I'm like I agree like it is really good for you, but like I also feel like I understand like what they're gonna tell me, like they're gonna be like bitch, this is what you need to do. And I'm like, yeah, I know, I just don't do it. So it's going to for me. I feel like it's going to be a never ending loop of the like we'll just do it and I'm like, okay, and I'm just going to continue not to Like I just don't have that initiative myself to do it. So I'm just like pa' que voy.
Speaker 1Type of shit, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. So I'm going to hit you with a question that my therapist hit me with.
Speaker 2Ah man.
Speaker 1I'm like I done it. Are you a psychic Like? Are you able to tell the future?
Speaker 2No.
Speaker 1So how do you know what they're going to tell you? Oh man, bitch, like who do you think you are For real? That's why I'm like, bitch, no, but like, let me leave.
Speaker 2I want my money back, even though it's free For real.
Speaker 1I'm like you know what Take your question back, give my insurance Back their money, shout out to my insurance. That lets me have this, you know, and I feel like therapy should be free, because without fucking therapy I mean without fucking therapy without fucking insurance I wouldn't have been going to it.
Speaker 2It's fucking expensive.
Speaker 1No, yeah, it is. So it's like this is something that should definitely be free. I feel like this is why there's so many, so many things. So many of us have a lot of things wrong with us Because we can't fucking afford the help that we need and that thing. That's pretty fucked up. Stop fucking building all this stupid ass shit that we don't need and give us the things that we do need. The hell anyways.
Speaker 2that's for a different subject, but damn, I forgot therapist oh, yeah, therapy, yeah to therapy I don't know I forgot where we were going, but that was a bitch, I was like going to therapy now. I was like damn, I probably should, huh no, yeah, yeah, if I can't tell the future, then yeah, how am I supposed to know?
Speaker 1yeah, I know, like you know what's crazy, though, that shit stuck with me, bitch, because whenever, every time I like I have to do something and I start freaking out, and it's just like bitch, como sabes how? Pause, bro. Like every like, honestly, like that's why that, that's the type of shit that has helped me, like the one thing that she also gave me a tip for me for when, like, I get really angry, when I, when I will feel like I have to flip a table, she would be like pause and really think about it. Are you really mad because a fly landed on your food or because something happened long ago and you're just using this excuse to explode? So now, every time I feel like I gotta explode, I really I'm like, okay, I take a break, like, why am I mad? Why am I mad? And then eventually it's just like why am I mad?
Speaker 1yes yeah, and like I also haven't taken my anxiety pills like over a month, damn. Because the trick that she gave me is like I guess she realized that I like to be very like nature, bonded. I like to be calm and relaxed and listen to like waterfall and rain, forward noises and crickets and you know, just mellow. She's like focused sometimes, sometimes focus on where you at. So when I start feeling very angry or I start feeling very like anxious, like I feel like it's so weird, I feel like I gotta rip my clothes, like my skin off. I it's like, I feel like I can't breathe, I feel like I have to disappear, like it's so weird. And she's taught me to start feeling that. So I start feeling it before it actually hits me too hard. So then I'm like okay, okay.
Speaker 1I'm like what am I thinking of? Because our head wanders, like you can just sit there, be focusing on work, and when you start feeling anxious, it's because you're still thinking of something. So you got to focus on what you're thinking. But instead of me focusing what I'm thinking, I focus on around me. So it's just like okay. If I were to be having one right now, I would be like, okay, so I'm in the podcast Eleni's here, ray's there, jonathan's there and I just start naming shit around me. And then I come back to here and I forgot what the fuck I was even tripping about. And then I'm back and everything's okay. So it's like I don't need to take my pill, because that's what my pill does my pill brings me back, it relaxes me, it calms me down. But how do you do it like?
Speaker 2that literally like that, just by naming things, that's like I just stay in my like. I literally just say it in my head because, I'm not gonna lie, I've had that feeling too, and I thought I was just tripping. Now that you're saying that, I'm like, oh bitch, I was just having a fucking anxiety attack. Yeah, yeah it will.
Speaker 1Um, it could also be a panic attack, which that's because I, the medication that I take for my depression, has a little bit for my anxiety. So the the separate one is for panic attacks. So the second one is the one that I have been having, because it's the ones that make me feel like I gotta rip my skin off or I got to rip my hair out.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Like I feel like I got to get out of my skin so I can breathe. Like it's weird, I feel like I have to remove myself. Like I got to get out of here, I got to get out of the car, I got to get out of wherever I'm at. Like I feel like I'm under attack.
Speaker 2But nobody's around me, like it's yeah, look, dude, I'm gonna tell you, because you're explaining this and I'm like dude, I had that exact same thing and I couldn't fucking figure it out so it was actually like. I want to say like maybe two months ago we were watching a movie at one of our friends house we're watching a scary movie and then the movie. I was chilling. I've already seen the movie before and everything. It was his first time watching it. We were high, we were just chilling.
Speaker 1Right.
Apartment Woes and Therapy Goals
Speaker 2Yeah, like it was a whole vibe. And then like towards the end, like I was watching it and I was like focusing on watching the movie and like I felt like an itch on my back and I was like that's weird. So I started scratching and then like my skin started getting hot. I was like, damn, I'm trying to fucking watch the movie and like I'm feeling uncomfortable. So I'm like hey, I'm telling him, like hey, can you get off of me? I'm like maybe, maybe.
Speaker 1It's like that Maybe I'm getting too hot yeah.
Speaker 2And like I'm watching it and like, like my skin feels like it's fucking on fire and I'm like, oh, what the fuck. And I'm like, bro, what the fuck. And I'm just like you know what I got to leave, like I got to go, but I don't want to move either, because I feel like, bro, you're going to look weird if you just get up and be like bro, I need to get out of here.
Speaker 1Yes, it's hard. So you just like, you just got to fucking like thug it out. You're like okay, my skin is itching Like I'm like and I can't like, I can't breathe at that point.
Speaker 2Like I'm just like I'm holding my breath, like I'm feeling my face get hot and I'm like, bro, everybody's staring at me that I'm like getting weird, that I'm like fidgeting now yeah.
Speaker 1I'm like, oh, my God, they can noticed.
Speaker 2I don't know if anybody noticed.
Speaker 1No, I'm telling you. Yeah, maybe At the whole time nobody even noticed, because I've said it before and they were like damn really. And I was like, yeah, I just had a whole panic attack and they were like you were just sitting there and I was like, yeah, bitch, I wasn't moving, but I was stuck, I was stuck.
Speaker 2yeah, bitch, I wasn't moving, but I was stuck. I was stuck on stupid bitch. It was like I was stuck on stupid mode. My controller disconnected yeah.
Speaker 1I was like ah, what do I do right now? Do I rip my skin off?
Speaker 2For real, no, but I felt like I was fidgeting so much. Like I don't know if I actually was, but I felt like I was, that I was just like you know what, like I got to get up.
Speaker 1Sometimes I feel like you know how on TV, whenever things are staticky and they're like red and blue.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Sometimes I feel like that oh yourself yeah. I feel, like I'm like glitching.
Speaker 2Yes, but like on the inside.
Speaker 1I feel like my inside is shaking, like my skin is fine, but like my skeletons and my organs is like shaking. But you can't tell from the outside.
Speaker 2Dang.
Speaker 1Yeah, that's how I feel.
Speaker 2I had a whole ass Shit. That's crazy.
Speaker 1But that's trauma.
Speaker 2But I don't know from what I was chilling.
Speaker 1No, our mind wanders. Sometimes you're just chilling and you're watching something and your mind wanders. So whatever you were thinking of when your mind wandered is what triggered you.
Speaker 2Dang. How do you get back to it though?
Speaker 1You gotta do the work.
Speaker 2You gotta remember.
Speaker 1But you can't remember. Because you shoved it. It's a mechanism that humans have. We shove it so deep to never remember that when we try to remember, we can't.
Speaker 2See, this is why I low-key, want to go, this is why I should just go to therapy, but I'm like, this is why I, low-key, want to go, this is why I should just go to therapy, but I'm like this is why I want to study psychology, so I can like I can understand that because I want to be a therapist, but I'm like I feel like I need to do like the schooling to understand my own feelings. No, yeah, but that's my thing, though. Like I feel like, once I understand the process of it, I'm just going to do it on my own and I'm like no, I do see you doing that, yeah, but I feel like it won't work because you have to actually do the work.
Speaker 1So do the work is. You have to be on the other side of that notepad, so I should go to therapy first before. Interesting, interesting, I like that so whenever you go to learning, you're going to understand what you're learning because you already walked that path so it's kind of like making it easier for me because you're going to have an emotional, emotional, mentally connection to it already. Yeah, it's like. It's like you're studying, but you're, you're the test.
Speaker 2I don't like that. That's scary.
Speaker 1No you'll be fine, bitch. Nobody knows you more than you do. That's the scary part. Yeah, nobody knows you more than you do, that's the scary part yeah, nobody knows you more than you do yeah, because at the end of the day, I feel like we always know what to do, and that's what scares us, because we already know what to do, we just are scared to do it yeah, we're just like are you scared to break up with that bitch?
Speaker 1but you know you should break up with that bitch you know, you should have walked away alone. You know you need to quit that job. You know you need to drag that hoe. No, I'm just playing All that fucking 35 and back. No bitch.
Speaker 2You know you need to fold that clothes in your corner. Oh bitch, I can't say shit. I have folded.
Speaker 1I said it to myself I gotta, I gotta, fucking dryer full of clothes right now we're gonna pretend like that bitch is not there right now mine's all over my living room dude and then embarrassing moment.
Speaker 2What maintenance went into my fucking house what happened? Because I, okay, I told them about the fucking door, my front door it looks like it was like it's literally like a cholo yeah, loki, yeah, like someone tried to break into my house like it looks the sides like, the air keeps on going out. So I'm like, bro, y'all are running my ac no, and for real, and I'm like that's my electricity.
Speaker 2You know what they fucking did? They went into my fucking apartment and they added another AC unit Like uno en la ventana. And then they're like so for the AC to be fixed. Bitch, that's not what I said in my thing. I said fix the door. I'm like, fix it. So I'm like now I'm going to start setting up an extra unit that I have to pay for on electricity, because that bitch is on high, high fan to keep that house cold, so my AC won't be fucking running and the door is still not fixed. That was, that was the fucking rant I actually had for you earlier. And I'm like bitch, are you fucking kidding me? When did this happen? Today, today. That's why I was gonna tell you about it.
Speaker 1Yes.
Speaker 2Y no, mira y también, they left the fucking luz prendida. So I was like you motherfuckers are running by electricity. You fuckers, you think I'm made out of money, bro. So I was like you motherfuckers are running by electricity. You fuckers, you think I'm made out of money, bro. I'm sorry for all the big.
Speaker 1That one got to me. I was just like Bro no fucking way.
Speaker 2So now I'm going to have to make another report.
Speaker 1And I'm like look, Look at here, you fucking bitches.
Speaker 2Nah, thank you for the AC fan I'm going to take it with me that I didn't want. I'm like I'm going to take this hoe with me when I move out, but I need the door fixed, so we quit wasting my AC and take your stupid ass fan, because Miss Dutts is adding another extra hundred bucks Fuck y'all, we approve this message.
Speaker 1Dude maintenance be tripping bro. Oh my God, living in an apartment fucking sucks man look Like Living in an apartment fucking sucks man. Look man, these bitches up here, these bitches up here.
Speaker 2If you can't tell we're rolling our eyes. Yes, Fucking maintenance.
Speaker 1Like they fucking suck. Like there's nobody that I haven't not wanted to fight in this fucking whatever that bullshit's called. What is that? Like the leasing office? The leasing office. There's no staff that I haven't wanted to fight in this fucking whatever that bullshit's called. What is that? Like the leasing office? The leasing office there's no staff that I haven't wanted to fight.
Speaker 2Fuck your leasing office.
Speaker 1If you know me, you know me. I have cameras all over my house. Okay, One time some guy came in my house like maintenance and I was like why the fuck are they in my house? We didn't put anything. So I call and I'm like why the fuck is there somebody in my house? Blah, blah, oh yeah, there's nobody's at your house. I said, okay, I hanged up, I gotta go take my break, drove my happy ass up here and I was like who just answered the phone? I just called about some uh mania's being in my house. Oh, that was me. Okay, go ahead and sit your happy ass down. Let me show you something.
Speaker 1I fucking pulled up my cameras and I was like so why was this mania guy in my house? If I don't have an order, let me call him. Oh, he was in the wrong, wrong apartment. So what are we gonna do? Yeah, like, that's like, what are we doing to fix that? Because you're sitting here lying to me that nobody's at my house instead of checking. My alarm went off. That's how I even know that somebody went in my house. So it's just like so who's lying me? Or your or my system that I pay for? So it's just like. So who's lying me or my system that I pay for?
Speaker 1facts like cause. That's a pretty solid ass, ghost that's crazy, caught on camera, yeah.
Speaker 1So it's like once you open the door, all over camera is kicking. So it's like you see him. He's just like he was in the house and then he went into the restroom. And he was in the house and then he went into the restroom and he was like I was fixing their showerhead, but there was nothing wrong with our showerhead Because we have our showerhead Like. We took their showerhead off and we put like our own type one that I wanted. So it's just like if anything's wrong with that fucking shower head, the motherfucker's gonna fix it.
Speaker 2Lives in this bitch yeah not no maintenance guy and even then I didn't ask for you to go in there. So it's like why are you touching?
Speaker 1my shit, like exactly what the fuck did you fix that was broken, like what you turned it on and what was wrong with the motherfucking shower? Yeah, what did he fix, bitch? And then and then and before that, we will put an order in. And then the motherfucking man was never coming in. They were just putting in the order. They were saying that it was completed, so we will get the email that has been completed. So we caught that too. So then I was just like when are they coming in? Because she's still fucked up. Oh well, they went in. Well, no, ma'am, because my system never went off. I'm like what time? What time did they complete it so we can look at the cameras? Yeah, cause, like no, how, who Y'all going through the AC vents? Look at Chingao? Y'all going through the car unit, like what's going on?
Speaker 2Y'all got secret doors. Okay, girls, y'all going through the car unit.
Speaker 1Like, what's going on? How do y'all? Y'all got secret doors. Okay, let me know Shit, because what if I gotta?
Speaker 2escape from this motherfucker one day For real. Fire exits. Okay, show me all of them. Yes, we pay for that, exactly Like. Show me my secret, yeah, so then?
Speaker 1So then I was like I'm gonna need an update. And then the update was that those maintenance guys were doing that to everybody. They were just saying that they were completing a job, but they weren't doing shit. And I was like, okay, well, who the fuck is going to fix my shit? Though?
Speaker 2Yeah, like you're answering what happened.
Speaker 1That's still a you problem. Bitch Like oh my God, I fucking hate this place. Don't move here. I'm not going to tell you where, because I'm still here. I'll let y'all know after I move out.
Speaker 2Yeah, For real. Once we don't live there, that's when we'll expose them. Yeah, because otherwise they're going to kick us out.
Speaker 1And the people that know me. You better shut the hell up.
Speaker 2For real. You don't know where I live.
Speaker 1We're in Canada. This bitch didn't stay in Canada.
Speaker 2Bitch, bitch how you think we got a green card yeah, cause I married me a black guy no mami you know this motherfucker.
Speaker 1One time he said that he wasn't gonna give me papers and I said look at here, you dumb fuck, I don't need him. I was look at here, you dumb fuck.
Speaker 2No.
Speaker 1I'm just playing. I don't need them. I was like. I was born here. You stupid, what the hell Like? Keep your papers. I don't need your goddamn papers.
Speaker 2Shit, I got my own.
Speaker 1Kabam, I actually do still have my original birth certificate. That shit crusty and dusty and cracky.
Speaker 2I would hope so, bro, you need it.
Speaker 1Well, no, Like I have the original one.
Speaker 2Yeah, you're supposed to have it.
Speaker 1Well, no, you can lose it or it can burn down and shit, and then you can just go get a copy of it.
Speaker 2You know what? My house burned down and my mom still had it. Nice, it burned down when I was in middle school, literally a day before school. What happened? It was like an electrical thing in la sala and it went, I guess, in la cortina, like with the drapes, it went ahead and caught on fire. And literally all of our house caught on fire, except for, like my mom's room.
Speaker 1Oh shit, because it was towards the end, right.
Speaker 2Yeah, that makes sense, sense, but like it got like the whole kitchen, my room, like the house and everything, damn did I? Shit dude, damn.
Speaker 1That's why that's why I'm gasping so hard, cause I was like damn the same thing. Texas dude, it's hot as fuck stop coming here, you whores. Hey, talking about? Stop coming here. Shout out to our Germany people we see you. We see y'all. I'm going to learn a German word for y'all.
Speaker 2How do you say it?
Speaker 1Off Wiedersen.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Scheisse Off Wiedersen. Yeah, shysa, shysa, shysa. Don't come for me if I'm saying it wrong and I'm sorry if I'm being disrespectful, because that was not my intention. Hashtag I come in peace, hold on.
Speaker 2Dang.
Speaker 1That is fucked up.
Speaker 2Okay, sorry guys, I would have left, though Okay, don't be calling me that, you whore.
Speaker 1If I would have heard that I'm like ah, got me Ex-puta, por favor, no.
Speaker 2Be like you, whore, and be like ah you know me Retired. For real, be like ah retired.
Speaker 1Oh um puta, Don't call me a puta. Retired for real, be like up retired. Oh um puta, john, don call me a puta.
Speaker 2I was like that's not really what.
Speaker 1I said, john Don, call me a puta. Like a success in machismo. Hell yeah, hell yeah, hell yeah. Deleting and adding shit. You bitches be messy as hell, damn. I don't know. I forgot what we were talking about.
Speaker 2I thought we were going to talk about kinks.
Speaker 1Kinks.
Speaker 2Yeah, I don't know. I forgot what we were going to talk about today Because I said let's get into it. We had a therapy talk. I don't know.
Speaker 1I forgot what we were going to talk about today, Because I said let's get into it. We had a therapy talk. That means that's what our listeners needed. They need another therapy sesh.
Speaker 2I actually learned a lot about therapy today.
Speaker 1If you're experiencing any of the things that I'm experiencing, try those tips and see.
Speaker 2Yeah, they were very useful advice. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. I definitely learned a lot today. I'm glad.
Speaker 1Yes, I'm glad that I was able to teach y'all. It's nice. Yes, one thing that, before we wrap this up, that I did want to tell you, I guess, since you learned. One thing that I learned today is that I don't like being called mean, mean, mm-hmm. I realize that it bothers me when people call me mean, because it's like I'm not mean, I know mean.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1And that's exactly who I'm not trying to be.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1So it's like I'm not that. So I think I'm going to start when people call me that I'm going to start speaking up Because I don't like.
Speaker 2Oh, you should.
Speaker 1Because it's like I try really hard to be that person that I didn't have. So if you call me needing somewhere to stay in, a meal, needing a shower, needed a shoulder, to cry on a ride like if I got it, you got it, because whenever I needed it, nobody had it, yeah. So it's like I want to be that safety net that to people that I didn't have.
Speaker 1So I'm not mean, because mean as well, let me in the street yeah and I'm not gonna leave you to the street that's good to speak up for yourself I just didn't know that I didn't like that. Like I just took it on my own day and I ran with it. I said, yes, I'm a mean bitch, whatever fuck you. But it's like I didn't really realize that I didn't like that Because, like, I can be mean, I can be a bitch, but that's not who I am. Right, like I can be silly, I can be silly, I can be funny. That's not permanently what I am, though.
Speaker 2Exactly.
Speaker 1The hell Like we can have moods.
Speaker 2Yeah, I can have a mean mood.
Speaker 1Yeah, fucking about mean mood. We need to go watch fucking Inside Out 2.
Speaker 2I already saw it. Bitch, don't tell me nothing I won't, I won't, it's really good though I know it is. It's really good, I know, Like really good, melaney, I have so many spoilers no, calla tu boca, we're going to wrap this shit up before I hit Melaney with this damn bong you want to know the secret.
Speaker 1I'm hit it with the chancla. No, you're like, stop it's you're like stop, it's the show, the program that you were listening to right now. No, alright, guys, we're gonna go ahead and wrap it up. Hopefully you learned something. Hopefully you enjoyed it. Hopefully we were able to get you through your bottle of wine or your sack of weed or whatever you were doing.
