Plot: An Interview with NA Urban Fantasy Author Sarah L Richhelm
Welcome back to another interview for The Writing Apothecary.
Sarah and I have an amazing chat about all things plot, her debut novel Control my Night and just how characters and plot are inseparable.
In today's chat we cover:
- Just how Sarah breaks her plot down.
- How her plot arrived and she wrote it.
- And how she approaches her plotting.
Sarah's Bio:
Born and raised in Australia, Sarah spent the hot summer days inside reading, saving money on SPF, and being an overachiever at school (if it required research and references, she was here for it). Now a nostalgic thirty-something, she's calmed down on the overachieving (lie) but she is still super mindful about sunscreen application (truth—her skin doctor loves me). She is a serial cookie-in-tea dunker and Spotify playlist curator and adores writing slow-burn, high-stakes fantasy romance you can giggle-kick over.
Sarah graduated from the University of Queensland, majoring in Communications and—when she's not travelling—resides in Brisbane, Australia with with her partner, a stack of TBR books she promises to read someday, and a growing array of indoor house plants. They’re still alive...ish.
