He led the Cardinals to an NL Pennant win (2013), three Division Titles (2013, 2014, 2015), and also managed the 2014 NL All-Star team and finished 2nd in NL Manager of the Year in 2015 before becoming the manager of the Kansas City Royals in 2019.

One of the most heralded basketball stars to come out of the St. Louis area, Larry Hughes "stayed home" and played one year at St. Louis University where he was named "Freshman of the Year" before becoming an NBA lottery pick and embarking on a 14-year professional career. He played with the likes of Allen Iverson, LeBron James, and Michael Jordan. He was named All-Defensive NBA Player of the Year and led the league in steals in 2005 and also participated in the Slam Dunk Contest in 2000. Hughes has played for the Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors, Washington Wizards, Cleveland Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Sacramento Kings, Charlotte Bobcats, and Orlando Magic. He has done and seen it all in the game of basketball.

In 2008 Dave Peacock reached what most would consider the pinnacle of success. Peacock was named President of Anheuser Busch. Four years later at age 44 Peacock did the unthinkable, and exited corporate life to focus on what was essential in his life, primarily his wife and family.
