Rising Stars Academy draws great attendance

Rising Stars Academy, a youth organization that helps minister and mentor youth in local communities, had a big turnout recently at the Thomasville High School gymnasium with about 50 kids in attendance (not all pictured). Participants were taught the fundamentals of basketball as well as about God. The camp was for ages 5 and above. They learned how to play basketball while also getting footwork, strength and conditioning skills. Camp instructors included Dre Burroughs, Avery Malone, Jalen Lucy. April Burroughs, Adrain Robinson, Vernetta Robinson and Rodrick Dumas. The staff was instrumental on how things flowed in the program.
