I once had a brief thought about calling my column, “Pastor Pat’s Ponderings.” The word “Pondering” means to think about something carefully before reaching a conclusion or making a decision. Pondering is critical in my writing and preaching so long as my ponderings are influenced by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit’s influence in my pondering is the only thing that I have any business sharing with anyone. Hopefully that influence is always involved in all my activities, but is it?
