Pausing politics for peace

I work with someone who is so consumed by politics that from the moment his eyes open in the morning until long after most of us have gone to bed, he’s sending links — podcasts, videos, news alerts — one after another. Before we can finish reading one, the next one pings. These days many of us simply scroll past, not because we don’t care, but because if we tried to keep up, none of us would ever get anything done.
