Funeral services for Sue Covington Campbell, 89, of Silas were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026, at Silas First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mathew Campbell, the Rev. Randy Byrd and the Rev. Richard Baldwin officiating. Visitation was held at 10 a.m. for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment followed in Edgar Cemetery in Silas. Ms. Campbell was born July 27, 1937, in Chappel Hill to Thomas and Ophelia Covington. She passed away Aug. 30, 2026, at her residence in Silas.
