Most agents haven’t built a business—they’ve built a treadmill. No closings means no income. No showings means no security. No pipeline means no hope. If that sounds familiar, this episode offers a better way. True freedom doesn’t come from working harder; it comes from building real estate systems that create stability, leverage, and long-term impact.

In this episode of The Faithful Agent Podcast, Garrett Maroon challenges the model that traps agents in constant production and introduces a faith-centered vision for building with intention. He explains why many careers stall at survival mode and how real estate systems can shift your business from transaction-dependent to purpose-driven. This is not about chasing more deals—it’s about designing a structure that supports your life, your calling, and your future.

Garrett unpacks the harsh reality of the traditional agent model: when your income is tied only to your next closing, you’re never truly free. He invites listeners to consider a different path—one built on leverage, collaboration, and stewardship. For christian realtors who want their work to reflect their faith, this episode reframes success around obedience, sustainability, and impact rather than constant hustle.

This message is especially powerful for agents stuck in the real estate grind who feel exhausted, anxious about their pipeline, or unsure how to ever step away. Garrett explains that freedom is not accidental—it is designed. When you implement real estate systems that create consistency and continuity, you move from reacting to leading. Your business stops owning you, and you start stewarding it.

You’ll hear insight on:

  • Why most agents accidentally build businesses that trap them
  • How real estate systems create leverage instead of dependency
  • Why freedom requires structure, not just motivation
  • How exit strategies can be faithful, not fearful
  • Why a faith driven business prioritizes stewardship over striving
  • How collaboration multiplies impact beyond individual production
  • Why building for the long term honors both your calling and your family

Garrett also addresses the mindset shift required to stop chasing the next transaction and start building something that lasts. He challenges the belief that security only comes from staying busy and shows how intentional structure creates peace, margin, and opportunity. For agents who want more than short-term success, real estate systems become the framework for freedom.

There is a better model—one that provides stability, legacy, and Kingdom impact. When your business is built on purpose and structure, freedom becomes a byproduct of faithfulness.

If you’ve ever wondered whether there’s a way to grow without burning out or whether your current model will ever truly support the life God is calling you to live, this conversation will realign your vision. Real estate systems don’t restrict you—they release you to build, lead, and serve with clarity and confidence.

Today I want to speak to the agent who's secretly scared they'll be working until they're 80 because they don't see a way out. The truth is most agents have built a treadmill, not a business. No closings means no income. No showings means no security. No pipeline means no hope. But what if that didn't have to be your future? What if there was a model designed to give you freedom, not just more transactions? There is an exit strategy. And if you've never heard that before, consider this your wake-up call. The reality is there is an illusion of security in high income without any leverage. You may be making great money, but the truth is you're just a highly paid employee without systems or residual income. And here's some of those warning signs if you want to know if that's you. Anxiety when you take time off. The fear of slowing down. If vacations maybe have felt like a financial risk, your business owns you, not the other way around. The truth is there are models out there that offer you opportunity like revenue share, like stocks, scalable models that can align with your calling that could free you up to live out the Lord's purpose in your life that maybe is not selling 30 homes a year. These models allow you to mentor, multiply and make margin for your life and your mission. You know, I remember the day I looked at my calendar and realized I hadn't taken a full week off in years. Now, Yes, I had taken vacation time, but was I actually off? No, it's not vacation. Let's be honest, brothers and sisters. It's not vacation when you're sitting there writing an offer on the beach. And I don't even know why we wear that as a badge of honor. That's not taking time off. That's not honoring our families. Proverbs 13, 22 says, a good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children. That's what legacy looks like. And legacy. starts when we stop building businesses that depend entirely on us showing up every single day. As faithful agents, we have to also look at the long-term. How do we build something that doesn't require us to be there every single day? Because the truth is most of us base our entire year off everything going right. We look at the year and we say, this is what I can accomplish this year, the possibility of what could be, and we don't bake in that something is gonna go wrong. I can't remember the last time I had a year where everything went right. When my mom passed in October 2022, that's not part of the plan for me. It wasn't. And if my business was totally dependent on me showing up, everything would have fallen apart. And I'm concerned for you, brother and sister, that when that day comes, when the person in your life needs you to show up and just to be present with them, we won't be able to because we are stuck. having to show up every single day or everything falls apart. We've got a treadmill, not a business, but there is an exit strategy. If you're craving long-term freedom, listen to the full podcast episode I did titled, The Exit Strategy Every Agent Needs, or book a call with me to learn how we are helping agents create the exit through the 210 Collective. The links are waiting for you in the show notes, and I'm gonna end with this question. If you stopped working for 30 days, what would happen to your income? What would happen to your peace? I love you. I'll see you next time.
