As major natural gas discoveries have been made recently in Mauritania, Mozambique, Ghana, Senegal and Tanzania, strong incentives to monetize African gas and create new demand centers, especially in promoting gas to power internally, are expected to play a significant role in making oil a primary driver of economic growth on the continent.
