EP #60: Ravi Srinivasan - International Programmer At The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) & Hot Docs

Ara Ehamparam Episode 60

Ravi Srinivasan was raised in a half-Filipino, half-Tamil household in Sarnia before moving to Toronto where is he now the Interntional Programmer (Canada) for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF, @tiff_net). He's also the International Programmer for the Hot Docs Caandian International Documentary Festival (@hotdocs_) and the Founder/Executive Director of the South Western International Film Festival (SWIFF, @swiffca).

He joins Ara on this week’s episode of #TheTamilCreator to discuss how he got his first job in the film industry with cold calling, his lifelong interest in public speaking from a young age, having no idea what TIFF was growing up, meeting M.I.A. (@miamatangi), not paying himself for the first few years of starting his own film festival (SWIFF), wanting to be the GM of the Toronto Raptors (@raptors), and much more.
