From May 18 through May 31, 2026, the Prescott Valley Police Department will join agencies across Arizona for the statewide “Click It or Ticket” campaign. This campaign is all about a simple habit that makes a big difference, buckling up every time you’re in a vehicle and making sure children are properly secured in the correct car seats.

Seat belts are one of the easiest and most effective ways to stay safe on the road, yet they’re often overlooked. Taking those few extra seconds to buckle up not only protects you, but also sets a great example for kids, who often pick up safety habits by watching the adults around them.

“The ‘Click It or Ticket’ high-visibility enforcement serves as a reminder to always buckle up,” said Prescott Valley Police Chief Bob Ticer. “Our officers want every driver and passenger to reduce the risk of serious injury, vehicle ejection, or death in the event of a collision on our roadways. Every citation issued could be a life saved.”

Supported by the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, “Click It or Ticket” combines education and enforcement to encourage safe driving habits and help protect everyone on the road, especially our youngest passengers. By choosing to buckle up, we can all arrive at our destinations safely.

Prescott Valley Police Department can be contacted at 928-772-9267 for non-emergencies, and 911 for emergencies.
