Speaker 1:

Welcome to Romanistan.

Speaker 2:

We're your friendly neighborhood gypsies, I'm Paulina and I'm Jez, and we are here for your weekly tarot reading the week of September 1st 2025. Back to school, you're in our school bitches.

Speaker 1:

So for love, we got the Queen of Pentacles.

Speaker 2:

I'm loving this energy Not so different from the Empress, actually from last week, Right yeah, this feels good Like sustained, empowered, like nurturing, but also like earthy kind of sensual, sexy energy, Totally I love like earthy kind of sensual, sexy energy. Totally. I love that earthy energy. Yeah, what are you thinking about like guidance from the queen of pentacles?

Speaker 1:

this week for our friends, totally so I feel like when it comes to the queen of pentacles, especially in like a love, energy, love era, I feel like it has a lot to do with staying grounded, don't get your head like too full, like don't think about it too much. And I also feel like pentacles in general have to do with purpose, and the queen of pentacles is really about staying in charge of that purpose and kind of like making you know, making something like feel right to you, like allowing, even if it's like has nothing to do with your purpose, like still being able to like touch people the way that you do not in a physical sense, um, or maybe in a physical sense, I don't know maybe, or maybe yes, but that's kind of how I view it like take on this role, like take on the role of the queen, like handle that kingdom, defend that kingdom, but also don't let it go like overboard.

Speaker 1:

Basically like be be the queen, don't be the king, you know, because the king goes overboard.

Speaker 2:

No oh, I like that a lot. I love the be grounded advice. And then that made me think. Some of my associations with the queen of pentacles are, of course, like you know. The element of is there connection to nature and the home. This might be a really good time to spend time, whether that loved one is yourself or like your bestie or your true love or whomever Maybe be out in nature, getting into these like crisp autumnal energies, or cozy up at home. Make it like a beautiful space, or cozy up at home. Make it like a beautiful space like spend meaningful time in places that feel connected to the earth, or maybe like your hearth. And this could be a really interesting time as well to think about the relationships that are bringing you abundance and being mindful of nurturing those more than the ones that leave you feeling drained.

Speaker 1:

I love that Fill your cup. It really resonates with me too, Like sometimes I find myself like being on the phone while I'm at the park or something and I'm like why am I doing this? Yeah, I did that today. I could look at the world right now.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I was answering emails the whole time. I was walking Lily yesterday morning and then I was like I missed the whole walk. I felt like I was in a rush but it was like oh so then we get the star.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, oh, for money, for money.

Speaker 1:

I love the star and I feel like I think, just because it's so good and it's such a good message where I'm relating it to us, okay, yeah, and everybody else but I feel really good about it like the stars, like it's in the stars, like it's beyond what we could even imagine it to be, so even it and that doesn't even mean like you're gonna be the richest person in the world, but like if it is like whatever you want financially, you know, even if it's literally just like getting your bills paid, like it is for me just being able to be in that stable place, like whatever that goal may be, you're going to exceed that and that's what I feel like you're going to be grounded, you're going to be stable.

Speaker 1:

There's also that one foot in water, one foot on land. So it's kind of about finding a balance as well. Um, maybe it could be a work and regular life balance, which I think really rings true with the last card, like staying present, staying focused and finding a balance. Like when I'm working, I'm working. When I'm home, I'm home. When I'm here, I'm there, like you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I like that so much and I really have been thinking about the star a lot over the last few weeks. It's reminding me how important it is to actually believe in your dreams and the things that you want and be optimistic and really believe in things, because if you're not believing in stuff, you don't actually see a pathway there. Like, if you don't believe in yourself and the possibilities, you don't see the opportunities to grab them. You're just sort of looking down. And so looking up at the stars, you see all of the potential and you might feel more motivated or savvy or scrappy to actually get there. And so I think it's good for you to have faith in yourself. And last week we had the high priestess, which was like follow your intuition, and now it's like follow that all the way to the moon baby, all the way to the stars.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's also kind of a scary economic time and even just, you know, looking at the bigger picture, which is so chaotic and difficult to understand, when things are kind of dicey economically, people are scared to spend money and then this creates like this difficult cycle. Sometimes you really can't afford to spend money, which is like fine, that's a different thing. But if you can invest in local business, or creators, small creators, independent businesses you know people who make things that share your values. It seems like it's a good investment too totally.

Speaker 1:

That was so weird because before you even said that, because we have telepathy, I was literally thinking.

Speaker 1:

So what was interesting was our next card for guidance is the two of cups. Even though this is for guidance, like mostly people can relate this to romantic relationships, but in this case I'm not really feeling that. I feel like it's about literally partnerships and like trades, right, like when it comes to guidance and in all those areas, so in love and in business with local businesses, local local creators, local artists, like whatever you have. Like that's what we have to revert to, back to, I think, as a society, and that's what I've been finding myself doing personally is like, well, if you do this, maybe it could be that, like you know, even though we all need to eat, like you never know, like maybe exchange some time at like a local place for for something like there there could be something if you have some time. I don't know. I know that like we have a partnership, you know, and like we're able to really do well in that and I feel like just in other areas in general.

Speaker 1:

Um, it's okay to team up with people. You know know what I mean. Like let's be a community again.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, collaboration is so important, Community is so important, and especially if you are one of many and we identify with this too feeling so overwhelmed by the news and the chaos in the country, it's like think globally, act locally. You know, start in your town, start doing good things there. I have a couple of friends in New Hampshire who are running for office. Or, you know, start in your town, start doing good things there. I have a couple of friends in New Hampshire who are running for office or, you know, running for representative, because they're like I have to get involved and they have to collaborate with community and make connections and figure out, like, how they can harmonize their values with the service that their community needs to do it. Yeah, and so you might find your own way. I mean, maybe your listener are also going to run for representative or you know something like that. But even if you're not like, think about who you can connect with, who shares your love of whatever it is and it's such a sweet card too of just practicing self-love and seeing how you can reflect that in your relationships with others, like how love rebounds off of love is really beautiful. So love makes the world go round, et cetera. Yay, I love that.

Speaker 2:

Ah, this is an exciting week. We hope that y'all are all taking great care of yourselves and we really thank you so much for listening, and you can always write in with questions. And if you wanna learn more about fortune telling, check out our book. And we really thank you so much for listening, and you can always write in with questions. Speaker 2:

And, yeah, we have some really fun interviews coming up too, so we're also interested. If there's someone, a Romani person, who you just think is so awesome and you want us to interview them, let us know. Maybe we don't know about them. Great ally, too, interview them, let us know. Maybe we don't know about them. Um, great ally too, yeah, like someone doing something that roma should know about, or like intersecting issues or representations. Like we have that great episode with amani jerome about representation in horror movies and um with chris about, uh, black land ownership, like there's just like we have some fun Ally episodes, too, to check out and we always like doing more Yay.
