SPEAKER_01:

Welcome to Romanists.

SPEAKER_00:

We're your friendly neighborhood gypsies.

SPEAKER_01:

I'm Paulina.

SPEAKER_00:

And I'm Jez, and we are here with your tarot reading for the week of November 10th, 2025. We have the Knight of Cups for Love. What do you think, Paulina?

SPEAKER_01:

Okay, so the night does represent a little bit of protection, battle, defense. And so I feel like this has to do with you being in a place where you want to show love, you want to express love, you want love to grow in whichever area that may be. But there are little challenges that are coming up. And I feel like we've become collectively used to things. Like if something doesn't go our way, like, oh my God, like it's a sign that it's not meant to be, or blah, blah, blah. Like I think it's time to bring back going against the grain a little bit or standing up for what you believe in. But at the very same time, if something is difficult and like causing you stress or pain or anxiety, like get the fuck out. So yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Very reasonable advice. Like, I it makes sense to fight for what you love and who you love. It makes sense to fight through things that feel like obstacles, especially, you know, if you struggle with intimacy, but you know having more emotional intimacy with someone would make you happier. Like it's worth, you know, fighting through that in therapy or however you manage your internal life. But sometimes the knight of cups can also show you that if the fight feels toxic, that's not a fight for you. And you got to fight for yourself. But I I always like to think of the Knight of Cups as a bit of a journey through the underworld. It's like you're looking at all the things that you're keeping in your subconscious and moving through fears and coming out the other side closer to love, whether that's deeper friendships, better relationship with yourself or family, or um a loved one. So the justice card is representing our money, which feels so of the moment. Uh what do you think about justice for money?

SPEAKER_01:

Like two things come to mind. And if I'm just going from my going from my old school intuition, I'd be like, you're gonna get paid out.

unknown:

I don't know.

SPEAKER_01:

Like for something that was illegally done to you.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, like if you're on the right, you're gonna get paid out. For sure.

SPEAKER_01:

And then another part of me feels like this is also advice for I think just people in power, maybe entrepreneur entrepreneurs, managers, like in general. I feel like it's a a little sign to make ethical decisions and make sure that that is a priority when it comes to business and just life and living, like not because of fear that like something bad will happen to you, especially if you're literally doing something illegal, but also the whole main reason is just so you're not a bad, shitty person, like the universe, you know, will not appreciate that.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, this is such a good time to boycott unethical companies and spend money on mutual aid. And I mean, SNAP is being cut across the US and so many states, and it's so bad to just to be super, super oversimplified. It's uh outrageous how how this government is crushing already disenfranchised people. So if you can donate to mutual aid or to a food pantry or use your money wisely, I think that goes a long way. You might also really enjoy fundraising right now for things that you care about if you don't have a lot of money yourself, but you want to do what's right. And just yeah, our money is our power. I mean, when people boycotted um a certain TV network, a certain comedian was reinstated, for instance. So, you know, uh we really do have bargaining power, all of us, even if you feel like you are at the bottom right now. And yeah, maybe things could will turn out in our favor if you're fighting the good fight.

SPEAKER_01:

And on top of that, not saying anything and not taking action and staying quiet is also a choice and it is an action. So not doing anything is an action that you're choosing. So if you choose to stay silent, like I don't feel like you're really contributing. Um and I strongly feel like that, even if it's a post that you can make, if it's talking about it, if it's some kind of help, but like yeah, like don't stand quiet, basically. I mean, unless your life depends on it, but yeah, absolutely.

SPEAKER_00:

And our overall guidance is the Queen of Swords, which I feel like builds off of that so well. Because the Queen of Swords is such a good communicator, so clear and direct. Our words are our power. The pen is mightier than the sword. What do you feel like the Queen of Swords is telling us to do this week?

SPEAKER_01:

I feel for balance. I mean, not for balance, well, I guess we're balanced, but for guidance. The Queen of Swords reminds me of well, I not even in um a guidance way, but I feel like the Queen of Swords is just a leader that basically doesn't let their emotions cloud their judgment or whatever it is. And I think it it's a little sign to stay firm on your boundaries, whether they be in any of those like topics, you know, whether it's financial, whether it's love, whether it's family, like really anything. And so I would say just stick to what you know, stick to what you need to do, and don't let your emotions kind of make you make a temporary, make a harsh decision on temporary circumstances, I would say.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, I think that's really smart, especially considering we're starting with the Knight of Cups, which is a deeply emotional card, but it's a card with a purpose where it's like I'm moving through these emotions so I can heal or be better for my partner, better for myself, better for my family, etc. And you might have to be very clear and logical in order to do that work. And the justice card for money absolutely requires that kind of clarity. And I think the Queen of Swords is a really wonderful reminder that logic and intuition don't need to be at odds and that our emotions benefit from our logical analysis as well. They don't need to be alienated from each other. They can work as a team. And uh that will ideally bring you a lot of balance. And as you might have noticed, I dropped a few episodes in the Romanistan feed, uh, just teasers from my new podcasts, In Material World, with Jessica Richards and A Most Interesting Monster with Manny. And I think I'm going to put one more A Most Interesting Monster episode in, and then you won't get any more of those podcasts here. You'll have to follow them wherever you get podcasts. And yeah, I really appreciate you uh following or recommending to friends. And as always, if you want to give us a gift of appreciation, if you rate and write a review of our podcast or our book at Secrets of Romani Fortune Telling, it makes such a huge difference. It really, really helps us a lot. Is there anything that we want to share for this upcoming few weeks? Do you have any news, Paulina?

SPEAKER_01:

Well, I have been just making my soaps, and these have a lot of old ancient healing herbs in them. So if you guys want to buy some, you can buy some on my website. And I'll just be making more content. So if you have any suggestions or if there's anything you'd like to see about, I don't know, like just spiritual living, and my new series is going to be called Everything Is a Ritual.

SPEAKER_00:

Mmm. I love that.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, because that's how I really feel.

SPEAKER_00:

Me too.

SPEAKER_01:

Right? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, it is. It's happy when it is. I love the soap video you made. I can't wait for more content from you.

SPEAKER_01:

Thank you. And that's it.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, so tune in for our next interviews, our next episode. We love you. Thank you for being here, and until next time.

SPEAKER_01:

Bye.
