Hello Ramanasan listeners. We just wanted to let you know that we will be hosting a free Tarot QA on May 4th at 5 p.m. EST slash 8 p.m. EST or whatever time zone you're in over Zoom. So we are hosting this QA to answer all your questions about Tarot, big or small, whether you're beginning or you're expert. We want to hear your thoughts. It will later be released as a Romanasan episode, and also it's really going to help us do research for our book, Secrets of Romani Tarot, because we want to make sure that we are thinking about all the questions that people might ask. So we have the King of Pentacles for love this month, which feels so stabilizing and empowered. How do you feel about the King of Pentacles for love?

It's giving me sugar daddy energy. Doesn't it?

I think that whether it's actually someone or even yourself, um Yeah, I think that as soon as I put it down, I was thinking about how important stability is in a relationship. I know that I know lots of people who have thought, like, oh, this person would be such a great partner, or even sometimes such a good friend, but they're so chaotic, or they're so bad with money, or I always have to pay for everything. And I feel like the King of Pentacles with money is about abundance in relationships where perhaps you're aware of the energy or literally the money that you spend, and it's that supported, respected, reciprocated. Um money is such an interesting factor in so many relationships, and it's not like being rich or broke is a personality trait or like a characteristic, but your relationship to money is a little bit um outside of trauma or you know privilege. Um, if you're someone who's always expecting the people around you to pay the bill, you're not being very king of pentacles, you're you know.

Yeah, and at the same time, it's also like like you said, like it's your relationship with money, but it's also like how you manage it, whether it's in a relationship on your own, there's that level of we need to talk about money and this weird misconception of you know, we don't talk about how much we make and we don't talk about money. Like everyone needs to start talking about that, like and I feel like that has been my experience too. Like coming out of my community into like the outside world, nobody talks about they're like, What? Like, why are you asking me what I make? And I'm like, what are you talking about? We my whole family talks about money every single second. You know what I mean? Like, and my cousins, my friends, like that's how it is.

Yeah, I also think that there's a lot to be said for having separate bank accounts and having financial independence. Uh so this is especially helpful for people if you're in committed relationships. Financial transparency is really important to understand where the money is going. It's also good for you to have your own finances that you're in control of. And I think the King of Pentacles has such a responsible, abundant, stable sort of energy that if you've been thinking about money dynamics and relationships, including friendships, like if you know, I listen to this podcast called Best Friends a lot and um by Nicole Bayer and Sashir Zameida, it's so adorable. And they go on fancy vacations all the time because they're successful actresses. And they've talked before about how it can be a little uncomfortable if someone in their friend group um doesn't have the money to travel with them. But if that person is a good time and isn't otherwise, is otherwise bringing like good energy, they're happy to bankroll that person to go on the trip. And so, like, love when Paulina and I talk about this, it doesn't just have to be relationships. It can be friendships, it can even be warm colleagues, it can be whoever you're emotionally close to. And so perhaps this is a month to create and seek out that stability and healthy relationships and friendships and things that um dynamics that nurture you, but also money might actually be on the table or in conversation.

Oh, I was gonna say now for money, we have more money to talk about. Yeah. The next thing we get for money is the page of pentacles.

Different, but not totally different. How do you feel about the page of pentacles?

SPEAKER_01 5:47

So the page of pentacles is telling me that for one, we need to be creative. So we need creativity, we need some innovation, we need like thinking outside of the box. I remember I used to watch this little TV show that was like outside the box or something like that. And I have no idea what it is what's going on, but it was just kind of about imagination, and I feel that a part of me is just like, well, what do we even have to lose? Like, just take the chance. Like, what do we have to lose right now? Like, take the chance, and I don't even mean that in like you have to do your own thing or blah blah blah. Like, even if you have a job somewhere or something, like even speak out. Like, if you feel like something's been going on and you're not comfortable and like you're afraid, or you're feel you're feeling like you can't really communicate, just speak out, take the chance, or ask for the promotion, or do this, or do that, you know, ask to be moved to a different city, who knows?

Like, yeah, I think the page of pentacles is such a good reminder for creativity, playfulness, new beginnings, new efforts being rewarded. And the page of pentacles can also be about fun, and so there's an opportunity for you to bring a little joy into your relationship with money if you don't work, and if you do work, into your livelihood. And I also love this card in general for thinking about health and well-being anyway, which is related to money for sure. It's our ability to do things that either earn a livelihood or help us manage it. And this is a great opportunity to think about how to bring in a little playfulness, creativity, and spontaneity into your day-to-day. And like you were saying, those out-of-the-as can really lead to something, whether you're an entrepreneur or not. So I love this lots of pentacles, heavy energy for the month of May, which is in large part tourist season, which feels perfect.

And then for overall guidance, we have the Queen of Wands. How are you feeling about that?

SPEAKER_01 8:09

I feel like it's telling me step into your power. Um, wands in general are about leadership, and I can't express that enough. And I also feel like this has a lot to do with leading in a feminine way, and I know that might sound kind of weird, but it's like being understanding, communicating, um, having empathy, and basically things like that. I'm just watching Lily.

Lily is like doing everything she can to be a naughty dog right now.

SPEAKER_01 8:42

She's literally like jumping on Topio.

SPEAKER_00 8:45

I was trying to like pick her up to soothe her, and then she just clung to my face like an alien.

SPEAKER_01 8:55

Okay. So yeah, basically, I feel like yeah, that wouldn't happen for no reason. Lily was like, I don't care, like, I'm gonna tell you that I need attention right now, and basically standing on business, and this month, this month is about business, period.

Yeah, you know, I love the Queen of Wands energy. Also, coincidentally, it's a card that can sometimes be about good relationships with animals, which is so funny. Um, but yeah, I totally agree. This is time to it's the time. I keep I keep saying that over and over again. Like, this is the time. But we are talking about a time-based reading. This is what you can focus on for May or whenever you're hearing this. But basically, your creativity uh unlocks a lot of potential for you. And creativity can be self-expression in general, it can be the things that you love or feel passionate about, it can be the arts. It's a looser definition of creativity when we're talking about what the wands represents in tarot. But movement and making things happen and passion and excitement and leadership are going to bring you everywhere you need to be. And I love that both of the cards before it were about stability and abundance and groundedness and good health and well-being. So there's something about the action that we take with the spirit of our passions and our hopes and dreams, and our the leadership we bring to our community or our workplace or our families or wherever all of that is culminating in a really beautiful month.

Yeah, and that kind of reminds me like one thing we talk about in our house, just because we have like heard it from someone else, and like just all these great activists and philosophers, is first you have to communicate with who you know, like your community, and talk to the people you know, and like in person isn't dead, everything doesn't exist online, and we can do that. Like when we meet people, when we come across, just like in our daily lives, let's speak our truths and come together and fight towards something, just because I don't want to bring attention off of all of the I guess atrocities. Like, I don't know what else to say, like all of the murders, all the atrocities, all the garbage that's unfortunately happening right now. And there's never a time not to talk about it, don't forget about it. This is happening, yes. You have to live your own life, and and lives go on, and and things go on and businesses go on, and life continues, but at the same time, let's do our best to fight for who whoever cannot fight for themselves right now.

I love that. Fight for whoever cannot fight for themselves right now. And that really it's beautiful, it fits so well with the message of abundance and care and passion and creativity and expression. Like we we want ideally everyone to have access to a beautiful life, and that requires us to be on our pathism.

Just a life, yeah, access to a life, even that would be cool, but it's not enough. Live, okay. Just let them freaking exist, let them live.
