The Battle of Naseby With (Mike Ingram)
In this episode of American Civil War & UK History, Podcast Daz is joined by the late historian and author Mike Ingram to discuss The Battle of Naseby — one of the most important battles in British history and the decisive turning point of the First English Civil War.
Fought on 14 June 1645 near Naseby, Northamptonshire, the battle saw the Parliamentarian New Model Army, commanded by Sir Thomas Fairfax, defeat the Royalist forces of King Charles I and Prince Rupert.
The crushing Royalist defeat ended any realistic hope of victory for Charles, changing the course of British history forever.
