In this episode of the American Civil War & UK History Podcast, host Daz was joined by historian Mark Wheatcroft to discuss the Battle of Hastings. This battle is one of the most famous and significant events in English history.
There is more to 1066 than the Battle of Hastings. Before this, Harold Godwinsd had to deal with the invasion of Northern England by Harald Hardrada and his Viking horde first at the Battle of Fulford on September 20th then five days later on September 25th at the Battle of Stratford Bridge.
