Unraveling The Words of Yahweh
Revelation Part 144 Finish Chapter 22 and The Book
In this week’s study, I not only finish Chapter 22, but I also finish the Book of Revelation
We finish up in our last study in verse 11, where John was told about the unjust will remain unjust as well as those that are filthy will remain filthy. However, we do read about those that righteous and holy in the eyes of Yahweh, will remain righteous and holy throughout the period of the New Jerusalem in the next earth age.
12. And behold, I come quickly = These are undoubtedly the words of the Redeemer; and the meaning is, that the period when the unchanging sentence would be passed on each individual - on the unjust, the filthy, the righteous, and the holy - would not be remote
And my reward is with me = I bring it with me to give to every man: either life or death; heaven or hell; the crown or the curse
To give every man according as his work shall be = Matt, 16:27 ; For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works
13 The title of this verse, Alpha and Omega (eth, Alph and Tav in the Old Testament), belonged to Yahshua Messiah alone in this connection, and represented the conclusiveness of the sayings of the vision--the first and the last, the beginning and the end, were the words of his authority--the yea and the amen from which there could be no appeal and for which there could be no repeal
14 That they may have right = That they may be entitled to approach the tree of life; that this privilege may be granted to them. So the word used here - exousia - means in John 1:12, rendered “power.” The reason why this right or privilege is conferred is not implied in the use of the word. In this case it is by grace, and all the right which they have to the tree of life is founded on the fact that Yahweh has been pleased graciously to confer it on them
To the tree of life = They would not be forbidden to approach that tree as Adam was, but would be permitted always to partake of it, and would live forever
And may enter in through the gates into the city =They would have free access there;
15 Without = (exō). Outside the holy city
The dogs = (hoi kunes). Not literal dogs, but the morally impure
The sorcerers = (hoi pharmakoi). As in Rev. 21:8, where are listed “the fornicators and the murderers and the idolaters,” all “outside” the holy city here as there “in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, the second death.”
16 John was the author of the Book of Revelation, but its message came from The Messiah. The Messiah declares in Revelation 22:16 that he sent his angel to give ‘you’ this evidence. That word ‘you’ is plural in the original language.
17 The Spirit and the bride give an important invitation. It is just one word: ‘Come.’ Because of the importance of the message, everyone who hears should repeat it
18-19 The Bible is Yahweh’s word, and therefore we should read it with the greatest care. We should give it our full attention; we should study it carefully. Yahweh uses the Bible to teach us and to warn us
Clearly, it is very important for us to respect the words of Yahweh. It is extremely powerful. It is very evil to use the holy things of Yahweh on purpose in a wrong manner. Some of the leaders were doing that at the time of The Messiah, and he warned strongly against their behavior
20 He which testifieth these things = Yahshua Messiah; for he it was that had, through the working of the angel, borne this serious witness to the truth of these things, and this book was to be regarded as his revelation to mankind
