Unraveling The Words of Yahweh
The Plagues Were Against The gods Of Egypt Part 10
In this study we will take a look at the miracles that Yahweh performed on the Egyptians, when Israel was held in bondage, during this period in Exodus. We will see that those miracles were against the Egyptian deities or gods that they worshipped.
Moses was the prototype of the Christ or Messiah. More importantly, the nation of Israel saw Moses as a prototype and the Bible record illustrates that point. Moses said: ‘And Yahweh said unto me, they have well spoken that which they have spoken. I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.’ (Deut. 18:17-18,).
In this study we will picked it up in Chapter 6 verse 2 to 9
2 The emphasis is on the words ‘I am Yahweh’. They are not intended to inform Moses what Yahweh is called, but to impress upon him that ‘the guarantee of the fulfillment of the Divine promises lay in the nature of the Being who had given the promises’. Even the phrase ‘I am Pharaoh’ [Gen. 41:44] is merely an assertion of royal authority and power, in the same manner. ‘I am Yahweh,’ means, ‘I am He who has the power and faithfulness to fulfill any promise vouchsafed by Me. I have promised Redemption, and I shall fulfill that promise; I will and can do it. Israel shall yet know that I am Yahweh, and Pharaoh, who had contemptuously declared, I know not Yahweh! – he too shall know it.’
3 God Almighty = El Shaddai
but by My name Yahweh = It is certain that the name Yahweh was in use long before the days of Abraham,
4 established = “qûm” “koom” “quph-vav-mem” “aleph-tav”
quph = (sun on the horizon) condense, circle time
vav = (tent peg) add, secure, hook
Mem = (water) chaos, blood, mighty
Aleph = (ox) strength, strong, power, leader
Tav = (cross) sign, covenant seal, mark and cross
To raise or rise up. Also in the sense of continuing or establishing something.
Canaan = “kena‛an” “ken-ah'-an” “kaph-nun-ayin-nun” “Aleph-tav”
Kaph = (open palm) bend, open, allow, tame
Nun = (seed) continue, heir, son
Ayin = (eye) watch, know, shade (this letter is basically silent)
(seed) continue, heir, son
Aleph = (ox) strength, strong, power, leader
Tav = (cross) sign, covenant seal, mark and cross
When you take this word back to the prime, we have a meaning as to bend. When a large bundle is placed on the shoulders the person is bent down low. To be brought down low in humility or submission. Now by adding the “Aleph-Tav” we see that true believers will humble themselves in Yahshua Messiah in order to enter that promise land!
land of Canaan = the land that was inhabited by the giants. The land was the future Messiah shall come from.
5 I have heard = the pronoun ‘I’ is said emphatic. I.e. the same Being who established the Covenant
Heard = “shâma‛” “shaw-mah'” “shin-mem-ayin” “Aleph-tav”
Shin = (two front teeth) sharp, press, eat two
Mem = (water) chaos, blood, mighty
Ayin = (eye) watch, know, shade (this letter is basically silent)
Aleph = (ox) strength, strong, power, leader
Tav = (cross) sign, covenant seal, mark and cross
There the meaning is a careful hearing of someone or something, as well as responding appropriately in obedience or action. As Yahweh/Yahshua Messiah hears the cries of their Elect, they prepare to take action against their Elect.
