Roots of Yggdrasil is a family run Community Interest Company (CIC) that aims to improve the health and well-being of deprived and rural communities. They are a non-profit organisation - although they like to call themselves Profits with Purpose -  that works alongside GP’s and companies to provide affordable access to exercise classes catered towards supporting those with pre-existing medical conditions and mental health issues.

Their physical health  services range from corrective exercise workshops focused around pain prevention to community led exercise classes offering more specialist treatments for chronic diseases such as arthritis and COPD.

Their corporate to community model ensures that they can provide high quality services to some of the most isolated regions on the Yorkshire coast.

Janette and Simon will be sharing their thoughts on running a business and working together as Mother and Son.
