Show Notes

The Local Lens is a public health podcast going inside one community's experience with the drug epidemic. Everyone in the town of Stanton, KY sees this drug issue differently from each other, either because of their personal lives or professional roles. This show aims to showcase those different perspectives by having honest, in-depth interviews.

Reaching people is a tricky thing to do. This is simply one of the biggest challenges in harm reduction. Still, once health departments and service providers finally reach the people they're trying to help, having an actual connection is found to be even more difficult.

Felicia Bowling is the answer.

Felicia is as a community health worker and peer support specialist. Her job is to look out for the general health of the entire community, especially as the health is effected by addiction.

These are our people, using our voices, telling our stories, because no one sees it like we do.
