Show Notes

The Local Lens is a public health podcast going inside one community's experience with the drug epidemic. Everyone in the town of Stanton, KY sees this drug issue differently from each other, either because of their personal lives or professional roles. This show aims to showcase those different perspectives by having honest, in-depth interviews.

These interviews have been with people from all around addiction: law enforcement, nurse practitioners, family members, and especially people in recovery. After over 60 episodes, we have looked at addiction from a pretty wide spread of angles. In this episode, we are trying to put it all together.

We want our listeners to be able to hold all of the different perspectives in mind when we consider substance abuse. We want to be able to see it from more than just our own perspective. This episode features our host, Nate Brooks, trying to do this. While doing that, he walks us through some of the biggest lessons he has learned from running the show.

These are our people, using our voices, telling our stories, because no one sees it like we do.
