The Local Lens
Estill County Recovery Rally Preview - Jessica Winchester and Jenn Richardson
Show Notes

The Local Lens is a public health podcast going inside one community's experience with the drug epidemic. Everyone in the town of Stanton, KY sees this drug issue differently from each other, either because of their personal lives or professional roles. This show aims to showcase those different perspectives by having honest, in-depth interviews.

The Estill County Recovery Rally is happening Friday, Oct. 21, 2022 from 5-8 PM at the Estill County Fairgrounds (38 South Irvine Road, Irvine).  It is a free event full of several remarkable speakers, musicians, information booths, games for kids,  and more. We recorded this episode to help promote that event, but also to get to know two of the organizers: Jessica Winchester and Jenn Richardson.

Jess is a peer support specialist, Jenn is a musician in recovery. In the episode, we don't really have a set topic of conversation. Basically, we're just getting to know these people. We're seeing glimpses into the lives of a couple people who were willing to invite us in. At the end of the day, isn't that what this is all about?

Hopefully you're getting to hear this before Oct. 21. If not, we believe this episode is still worth a listen. If so, look forward to hearing from these people at the ECRR:
