The Local Lens

The Local Lens is a public health podcast going inside one community's experience with the drug epidemic. Everyone in the town of Stanton, KY sees this drug issue differently from each other, either because of their personal lives or professional roles. This show aims to showcase those different perspectives by having honest, in-depth interviews.

Will Arvin may as well be a rodeo cowboy. His story has enough twists, jerks and turns to rattle anybody. All that experience will change a person, and he is now in a position to try changing quite a few people.

Will joins the show to tell his story, which hints on all kinds of long-standing problems of addiction and recovery. Will takes us from use in adolescent boredom, through jail, and into the near-impossible world of employment.

This man has proved his resiliency and is giving hope to anyone willing to receive it.

These are our people, using our voices, telling our stories, because no one sees it like we do.
