Air conditioners are notorious for being power hogs. And, while IOT is well-known for providing analytics about power wastage, it usually requires someone on the ground to control the AC to reduce power bills.
Rohith from Zodhya is combining IOT, AI, and good old hardware to create a suite of products that eliminate the need for manual intervention to bring in energy savings. Its first product is an AI- based air conditioning control device that can be installed on any AC and reduces the unit's electricity consumption by up to 40%.
Rohith founded Zodhya in 2017 with his friends Sharath and Aditya, shortly after graduating from IIT Madras. They iterated for four years before commercialising their product in 2020. The company has completed more than 20 implementations in offices, supermarkets, and hospitals and are now looking to grow rapidly. We had a fascinating conversation about
