Most movies arrive and are forgotten within weeks, but a rare few become cultural milestones that gain immortality.  In 1975, a low budget monster movie hit the big screens and changed the way most humans looked at the ocean.  Today we pay homage to a movie that should have fallen apart fifteen different ways during production but somehow survived, thrived, and ended up creating the Summer Blockbuster.
