Bailey enlists the help of her friend Jane to open up the 2019 investigation into her broken heart after Dave, a Greenpoint musician, dumped her seemingly out of nowhere. With hindsight, hours of free time during the pandemic, and new resources, they hope to discover the true source of the breakup and find the ever elusive closure for Bailey, and perhaps for all women, who have experienced the sudden end to a relationship before it could really begin— by a Love Criminal.

Bailey has a surprising lead in the form of her friend Lenny, who works at Verizon and confirms much of the communication that's taken place, in addition to shedding some light on some surprising FaceTimes. Oh and also, Dave texted Bailey.
