I I must commend you on your your steadfastness. You have been a you have been a blessing in my life ever since we first met. You know, uh the way God would have it, uh, I was invited to a teaching.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_01And uh let him know, let me know. Yeah, if they told me that they were going to send me to a class uh in theatrical, if you will. And I, you know, I was a bit concerned, but when they told me that, because I didn't know who the teacher would be. So I, you know, I I think I even asked, could I go to a different class? Oh business, yes, noble business. Come on, talk to me, dog. This is real, God is moving.
SPEAKER_02This is Ronald Dillster Second, and I welcome you to the Ronald Dills II podcast. With degrees in theater, film, entertainment business, and creative writing, I've been extremely blessed with opportunities to produce media, digital films, commercials, music videos, and stage plays. Through these experiences, I've had the wonderful pleasure of meeting and working with some amazing talent in the entertainment industry. My goal for this show is to share their stories and experiences while learning about the challenges and obstacles they may have faced while going after their dreams and ultimately succeeding. While serving as a college professor and running my own production company, Ronaldusa Second Productions, I'm always seeking for ways to educate, encourage, and inspire the whole entire world. Welcome to the Ronald's Second Podcast. What's going on, everybody? I am super excited for this wonderful occasion. Welcome back to the Ronald's Second Podcast. This podcast this year, alright, has been taken over by Downhill the Play, y'all. Downhill the Play just came and took over the whole podcast, right? Rightly so, right? Today I have the wonderful, amazing individual who this I'm about to say film, because we've been working on various stuff. So film, play, the book, everything is about this man right here by the name of Mr. Anderson. See Hill, the second. Welcome, my great brother. Woo, man. We are here, brother. How you feeling? How you feeling?
SPEAKER_01Brother Dills, I'm feeling wonderfully well today. God is good. This is the week after Resurrection Sunday. So, brother, I'm feeling I'm feeling fantastic. I I think that God is in control. Amen. I'm all right. I'm all right, brother.
SPEAKER_02I don't know about you, but I feel a shift in the atmosphere. Do you feel that shift going on? Like shift going on right now, man. It feels good. I'm like, God is up to something. He's always up to something. We already know. Regardless of our foolishness, he's always up to something, right? That's what I like to say. So I was doing some research, my great brother. Thank you for taking time. Um, I had to get an interview with you as we preparing for this wonderful production of Downhill the Play this May, y'all. This May, May 29th, 30th, and 31st, getting my stuff together. It's a lot going on at the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center, right? So we're getting ready for this bad boy. And it's it's been a journey. It's been a journey to get here. So, Brother Hill, I was doing my uh my research and I was like, man, we've been doing this for quite some time, right? Quite some time. So I went back and I was just like, man, when was our first session? I actually found a recording in my phone of our first session, brother. And it was, let me tell you this, October. It was one of our first sessions. I'm thinking it was the first, but it was October 2016 at your office. Can you believe that? 2016 at your office. Now, think about it now. We we we started meeting up. We didn't know what God had in store here because I ended up what I did. I got married, I proposed at the premiere, got married, and then you was at the wedding, you was at the premiere. You know, you helped with the premiere, you helped with all of that. And I mean, just look at the journey. You had three kids. It's been a while, bro. It's like a whole different life now, right? So I was just blown away, blown away about that. I had to share that. So let's see. So back in 2023, we had our our first session, which was um here live. It was me, you, and brother CJ, brother Superstar, producer. Um we had our first session, man, and so much has happened since then. So, how do you feel about everything that has transpired since us talking about Downhill the first time on the podcast?
SPEAKER_01Well, well, brother, let me just say this before I jump into that is I I must commend you on your your steadfastness. You have been a you have been a blessing in my life ever since we first met. You know, uh the way God would have it, uh, I was invited to a teaching.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_01And uh let them know, let them know. Yeah, and they told me that they were going to send me to a class uh in theatrics, if you will. And I, you know, I was a bit concerned when they told me that because I didn't know who the teacher would be. Right, right. And so I, you know, I I think I even asked, could I go to a different class? More of a business, yes. More of a business, more of a bit. Come on, talk to me, doc. This is real. God is moving. Wow. I cannot take credit. The reason I'm giving this explanation is because I can't take credit for it. You as you can see, when I tried to lean on my own understanding, you see, I went astray. But then I thank God. That's what I want to say to the listening audience. I thank God for you, your family, brother Superstar, which is CJ Joseph and his family. I mean, we have been, especially you, Brother Dills. I'm gonna stick with you right now because after we met that day, I gave my presentation, and uh, you know, and you read the book, and you told me about your interest. And I heard you. I said, okay, well, let's see what we're gonna do. Right, right. And and I want the world to know that this young man has been steadfast in his commitment, and without him, Ronald Dills, Dills Productions, we would not be where we are today. And I'll be through. But when I first wrote the book, which was entitled In Search of the Truth, a real life story about what an attorney should not do, I wrote it for this very reason. And and and you have been part of the fulfillment of the reason that I wrote that book more than 30 years ago now. Wow, you know, wow, let me know. Hey, and here we are still fulfilling what God wants us to fulfill is to show the message of downhill. So, brother, I thank you, brother Dills, you and your family. I love y'all. Y'all are just that I just love you and everybody, your mama, your daddy, everybody.
SPEAKER_02We love y'all too, my great brother. We love y'all too. Oh man, yes. It's been it's been quite a journey, and um man, like we cannot make this up and how God allowed us to connect. And I I'll be honest, brother, it really blesses my heart to know that God had this project for me to do. He wanted me to do this project, and he led you to me to the point that he was leading us back when A3 was coming up. Me and him connecting. Isn't that something? That's the God we serve now. Now, that don't know, Brother Hill's son and I are the same age, right? Same age. We went to school together, and so and we have history together. So it was just kind of like how God nobody can make that up, how God does things, brother. And even in this journey, um, it's been tough. I mean, we both know we can talk about that too. It's been tough just as you say, trying to stay steadfast, trying to stay focused, trying to stay positive. Like I remember when we first wrote the script, you and I, it was just the two of us going back and forth. We had some possible producing partners that we were considering that I let read the script and it gave me feedback. And I remember one of them telling me it's gonna be about it can be seven years before you do this film. And I'm looking at seven years, right? Seven years, bro. How long has it been, bro? How long has it been? I didn't want to believe it. God was trying to give me a message right then through him. Like it can take time, and it's not always about just having the funding, it's just when God knows we are ready, brother. You know what I'm saying? You you've been dealing with some stuff. Tell us about some things you've been dealing with as you saw like all of these that your story coming to life for film for for the stage. Like as you're seeing all this being portrayed, how does it make you feel right now?
SPEAKER_01Amen. Amen. Well, uh, to be honest with you, uh, part of the story is hard for me to relive. I mean, it's not something that I'm proud of. You know, uh I made some very serious mistakes. Uh uh, and only by the grace of God did I fall to the right decision, which was being truthful and honest and disclosing my shortcomings to the world. And that's what this film and this play, it really shows my downfall, but it also shows the way that I persevered in the faith, the faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and the truthfulness of his deliverance. See, that's that's what the story shows, is that, you know, everybody got their wild side, you know, the wildness and all of that, and and and it's something that we don't want everybody to know about, but at the same time, when that wildness leads you into trouble and you find yourself in a situation where you you're looking around in strange places that you don't want to be in, then you have to say, Oh Lord, what sh what must I do? Right, right. What shall I do? And and then you have to just stand still. You know, you can't keep moving and searching within your own being. You have to wait for the spirit. And eventually the spirit will move within your soul. And that's what happened to me. The spirit started to move. When I first found myself in harm's way, that I placed myself in front of, I didn't know what to do. Brother Dilks, I always had what they call a silver spoon, or or or everything I touched turned to gold. But but one thing I learned, and this was why I always tell people, that sounds good, doesn't it? Everything you touch turn to go. But you know what? The the the the the moral of the story is this when everything you touch turns to gold, you can't eat. You'll starve to death. Wow. That's earthly, that's flesh.
SPEAKER_03There you go.
SPEAKER_01And without that Holy Spirit working on that, where it can allow you to digest, digest the gold, where it can give you bread of life, you see? So then that's what I that's what I eventually started to realize is that it wasn't easy. A lot of times I had to stand on faith because we walk by by faith and not by sight. So, amen. So, so a lot of times, brother Dills, I I I start questioning myself, make sure that I'm seeing what God wanted me to see with the revelation that I had in my life to share with others, so that when others find themselves in negativity, they will be able to hold on and and and have a great recovery. Because that's what my life is turning into is a great recovery. But it it it took the it took the blessings of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, not me, not my degrees, not my association with the central intelligence agency, not none of that. It's all about the Lord, and then the Lord will use those degrees and and those affiliations and all of that to bring you back.
SPEAKER_02Wow. There you go. Amen, brother. Amen, my great brother. Amen. Amen. All right. So it's it's as I get from this conversation, it's and the discussions that we've had so many times, is it's so important for us to share this story, you know, so it can help others. You know, that's the biggest thing. Uh, the motto of my company when I original God Let Me, this is not me doing God Let Me is producing films that change lives. That's that's pretty much what I want to do and continue to do. And how can we relate that for the kingdom, you know? Um, so this film, I remember when you originally brought it to my attention that you wanted to be a book. Of course, I'm already listening to your story, like this would make a good film. That's just me. Um, and so when you originally brought that, I was just like, okay, Lord, it was almost like the doors that started to open in that moment. You know, I didn't think about nothing. I was just like, okay, Lord, this this is this is a dream right here, you know, to tell such a powerful story for such a powerful individual that I've already gotten to know in this situation. So, but yeah, that was just truly, truly amazing. So, what do you want people to take from this play that we're doing in May? What do you want them to leave the theater with?
SPEAKER_01In May, when they see downhill the play, I want them to lead with a renewed sense of confidence in the strength of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. Amen. I mean, that's that that's the bottom line. And brother Dills, you know, I always try to make sure I adjust, I adjust my way of thinking because it's easy for my past experiences to get in the way of the upcoming blessings for so many people that's about to come forward from the result of this film. Wow. Because I know that this is the truth, this is the truthful statement I'm about to say is that we all have seen.
SPEAKER_03Yes. Oh yes.
SPEAKER_01So so it's no big sin, it's no little sin. You, if you're a sinner, you're a sinner, right? And and and you must repent. So uh, you know, I feel that people will see, hopefully, as you have laid it out in terms of your uh writing and and your skillful directing and all of that. I try my best. I try my best. No, no, no, brother, you you bringing it out. You bringing it out, see. And you know, that's why that's why when when you do your job, I try to stay awake. Because I know you understand my story, but you have a different perspective than I do. So you have to tell the story from your professional position where people will see what we're trying to say. And sometimes that may take a little embellishing, you know, to make it just to make it have a stronger impact, you know, that than what it may have been. Oh, yeah. Yes, sir, yes, sir, yes sir. But at the same time, everything that a person will see in that plague is part of my life, and it has been a quite a blessed journey once I accepted Christ fully, amen. And I live my life by Matthew 1624, that in order to become a disciple of Jesus Christ, you must first. I'm I'm I'm I'm paraphrasing, you must first and foremost deny yourself. There it is. I'm gonna say that again yourself. Deny your and this move you asked me about down here. It's easier than you, it's easier than that. So when they come out of downhill to play, yes, sir, I want them to lead there with a sense of denial. Amen. Because in order for people to become disciples of Jesus Christ, you must deny yourself, take up your cross, your cross, and follow Jesus. Amen. Oh, yeah. That's the that's what we want. If we can get that, I mission fulfilled.
SPEAKER_02All right. Now, my great brother, you said something very powerful there now that just stuck to me, too, because you know I'm still working on learning how to deny myself. I'm just gonna be real. Talk to people. All right. Um you said something fully, fully accept Christ. Let the great people know the difference between accepting Christ and fully accepting Christ. Because that that ring the bell in my ear. Talk to him. Yes, sir. Talk to him, no, that's that's that's that's good stuff.
SPEAKER_01That's good stuff. That's good stuff. Because see, I'm using my own life to to to to to manufacture the words that I'm speaking, right? So I have been a deacon, a deacon in the in the Christian church, Baptist Church. I was I was ordained at Greater Friendship Baptist Church in Daytona Beach more than 40 years ago. Wow, wow, there it is. Okay, now when I accepted that ordination or to be set aside as a deacon of the church, yes, I had accepted Christ. Yes, I believe in Jesus, but was I on it? Was I right there you go what was what what was I representative of what God wanted me to be? And the answer is no.
SPEAKER_02Yes, sir.
SPEAKER_01Brother Hill, why did you become a deacon? Let me ask a question for you.
SPEAKER_02Good question.
SPEAKER_01Some of it's kind of hard to ask. Brother Hill, why did you become a deacon? Well, the reason I became a deacon is because I recognized my blessings. I had just graduated from the University of Florida where you, my brother Diltz, we we gators all day.
SPEAKER_02All day, let him know.
SPEAKER_01All day. So I had just graduated with two degrees. Wow. You know, and in less than three years, I received a jurisdictor and an MBA in less than three years from the University of Florida, one of the top schools in the world. So after that, the CIA recruits me to do sensitive research for this great country that I perform and report went to President Reagan. See? So of course my mind is blown. And then and then I'm asked to become a deacon. And so how could I say no to God when I I've counted I've counted my blessings and I see what He's done for me, but yet I wasn't ready. I was not ready. I was not fully committed the way I am now, the way I live my life now. You know, I'm ready now, but I was not ready then, as most people are when they first encounter uh the Christian life, the Christian walk. It's a growing process, it's a process of maturation, study, and experience. So then God put me in a situation where He showed me I could only rely upon Him. I had I had I had no one to turn to. See? And I had to I had to get into the Word and study the Word and understand what is my life supposed to be about. Well, let me tell you what that's supposed to be about. My life is supposed to be about just like your life, once you accept Christ, is to bring others to Christ.
SPEAKER_02Amen. Amen.
SPEAKER_01Expand the kingdom of God. And then as you expand the kingdom of God, He He He is pleased. Because it's His Kingdom. It's not our kingdom. And so I was confused as most people were. So I hope that through our depiction, our presentation, that people will begin to see and understand the commonality of life where you know it's a maturation process of growth. And just keep learning, keep studying, keep praying, and you'll get there. I guarantee it. But it's got to be within the heart, sincerity, and and and and and obedience.
SPEAKER_02Amen. Amen. Yes, sir. Thank you. Yes, sir. And I love that. Thank you, Brother Hill. Thank you. Man, God is good, man. Yes, yes, yes, yes. You all see this wonderful individual I get to spend so much time with each and every day, telling his story. All right. Okay. Telling his story. So, my great brother, I have my question, but every time you speak, I forget everything, brother. I just everything just go out the window. Everything just go out the window. I'm like, it don't even matter. Let's just talk, brother. All right. Let me see if I can uh round us back in here. Um, so I had a question. So I came to you. Um, I'm gonna say it was 2024. I talked about this in my first episode, 2024, 2025. I started getting back on the stage myself. I had missed been on the stage. And so, of course, I invite you to everything. You and Sister San, um, I invite y'all to everything that I'm doing, just so y'all know. And so I came to you and the great brother CJ about what would y'all think about bringing downhill to the stage? How did you feel about that when I originally brought that? I thought it was a crazy idea, but when I brought that idea to you and brother CJ, how did you feel about it?
SPEAKER_01Well, uh I didn't I didn't really know how to receive it initially because all of a sudden we started to expand where we were uh sort of in a holding place for years, and then all of a sudden God started touching you and start touching Brother CJ and others that that have supported us, that we we appreciate their support, you know, and and so then all of a sudden I can see that this is uh another step in the in the uh in the expansion of the mission. The mission is to show people Christ and and and the benefits of being a Christian. So as I started to think about what that could look like and where we are today really shows that it's a great blessing that we're doing a play in the intro, because see, you you you had brought to me the the short film, you and brother CJ, and so so so you know I'm trying to deal with the short film, right?
SPEAKER_02And actually Brother Hill, the the play was brought to you first, and I was gonna talk about that next. The reason the short film came about, so everybody knows, was I was interested in bringing both of my worlds together, film and theater, bringing them together for a big show. And once we started coming up with a budget to shoot those segments I wanted for the play, it's like we might as well shoot this as a short film. And it was kind of like God just sent that light bulb, almost like I was trying to tell you that, you know what I'm saying? Because it was kind of like, why not do the short film? We should have done the short film even before the play, you know, like all those thoughts just coming through. Like, why did we just do this as a short film? But now I've already put that bug in y'all's ears about doing the play. So it was kind of like we was just like, wow. So yeah, so when we brought that idea for the short film, that of course, as we all know, a short film is not nearly as expensive as a feature film, and not even as expensive as putting on a live show, as we know. So the short film was something we could just jump on and do, you know, more quickly than we could some of the other productions. Tell me a little bit about your experience during the short film, you know, and and um everything that you were able to witness, just seeing your story come to life, to all the way seeing what the final product, brother, and seeing what God is doing with that. So tell us about that experience. I want to know from your mouth, brother.
SPEAKER_01Um well, brother, let me just say it like this. You know, I always like to uh reduce things down to the lowest common denominator or words. And and the word that I have for my experience with with you, the crew, the actors, and everybody uh with the short film Rock Hill is Professional.
SPEAKER_02Woo! There you go. There you have it, there you have it, and this is from the professional, right? Right? Brother Synergy, that's the name we give, brother. Brother Synergy.
SPEAKER_01I'm talking about, listen, listen, everybody. This young man and CJ Joseph, the people that work with them, Hollywood. See, Hollywood can't exceed what I have been exposed to in terms of the scheduling, uh, the performances, the the the coordination uh of just the expectations of what's next, you know, uh the the the site selections, all of that. I mean, it it is it's it's first class. I and one thing I want to recommend to people that may hear this is that you you have story, everybody has a story.
SPEAKER_03Right, there you go.
SPEAKER_01And I encourage you, if you're interested in telling your story and you you're sincere about it now, you know, don't don't hesitate to reach out to Ronald Dilt's R2D Productions. Don't hesitate to do because that's why I'm here. Not because of me and my books and all that, and I have books and all of that, and my reputation, yes, it helped, but what took it over the hump to success is Ronald McDill. Oh, thank you. So that's what I want I want to make that clear because there's so many people that want to do this. See, I because it's since I've been involved. This brother, in 2015, y'all, we had a national conference. This is how long we've been dreaming about today.
SPEAKER_03Right, right, right.
SPEAKER_012015. We had a national conference. That's another I I don't want to tell the whole story, but you know, I I believe in the Lord. That that I mean, I want people to know this. I'm serious.
SPEAKER_03Yes, oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01So Men of Jesus, we had a national conference at SeaWorld, uh the Hilton Double Tree at SeaWorld in 2015, and uh part of the presentation 2015 was we had Ronald Dilster come out and talk to talk to the audience about our vision and dream that we wanted to do a film and and that type of thing. And so, you know, you have to be patient, as Ronald mentioned earlier. You know, it's it's it's God's time, it's not our time. And as long as you can be obedient and patient, he will work it out. And through angels, like Ronald Dills and the CJ Joseph and others, my wife, you know, my family, everybody that's allowed me to embarrass them too. I mean, my family's gonna be embarrassed. So, so so but they're willing to go through that with me because they know what we're trying to do is to bring others to Christ. Yeah, you got to find them before it's too late. Because when it's night, no man, no woman can do anything. It's too late. So I want people to react, to commit to our Lord and Savior now, right?
SPEAKER_02Right. Amen. Oh yeah, oh yeah. How was um you talk about the great sister Sandra? How was it when you brought this idea to her that you wanted to do this as a film eventually, you know, originally, and then a play? How did she take that news? That's that's a question there.
SPEAKER_01Uh that's a process. That was a process. That's a process because you know, she she doesn't want to see all of this. And and you know, she knows what she told me. See, what you have captured, you captured that, brother Dilk, so well in the play and in the short film, and all you capture the reality of her concern uh for me and and my actions uh early on when I found myself uh acting crazy and stupid, you know. She was always concerned, and and and what what brought us as where we are today is love, you know, is love, is true love. I met her, she was 15 years old, I was 16 on the steps of the famous Little Rock Central High, where integration started in this country, in the United States of America. See, that's why I'm a product of Central High and my wife. We met on the steps, you know, and it just became such a beautiful love story that people didn't think was going to work out because she came from one side of town and I came from the other. And they didn't think that this old boy had it in him. And hey, so at times, especially when I'm acting a fool, you know, I thought I had messed up everything with her. Right. But love saw us through, and I'm in and it's the love of God and it's the love for each other that has blessed us.
SPEAKER_02You know, so it's it's amazing you say that too, brother um Hill, because um often like you and I have been on this problem, you it's your life, so you've been on it forever. When you brought me in, I've been spending, you know, of course, quite some time and find out we're coming up on 10 years this October that we started, like our first meeting. And that just mind-blowing to me. But the more that I see our actors bringing out these roles, the more I see these performances and just putting this baby together, I'm learning more, even more about the film. And all this is so amazing how God is using all this to even prepare us for the future. So we're getting more in tune even more with the story as we prepare for the future film. Um, but what I was gonna say is often we're looking at all the things that you were doing. You know, this is your story, all the things that you were doing, you're getting into your downfall. Um, we don't think about the the queen in all of this and what she's dealing with. You know what I'm saying? And you just kind of spoke, spoke about that. We don't even consider that the love that God has, first of all, but the love that God has put in both of y'all, she was able to stick by your side through all of that. So, in the midst of all the craziness, the big picture is you're well, God kept you and your wife kept you, you know, at the end of the day. You know what I mean? She stayed by your side in all of this, and so that's a beautiful celebration for even that moment that the fact that she stuck by your side. Because as we know, in this generation, so many would have been left. You know what I mean? But God allowed her to stick right there with you, still there today, right? Still there today.
SPEAKER_01We've been married for 48 years, and it'll be 49 this July. Wow. So we we're praying, we're praying for that big 5-0. We're praying for that 5-0.
SPEAKER_02It's in reach, man. That is in reach. We close, yes, sir. Something to celebrate. So we have this amazing individual that you you you get the honor of introducing me to this amazing uh individual by the name of brother CJ Joseph, my man. Right, like wow, bro. And and for y'all that know, we're gonna have CJ on here, but um, CJ came on and just relit this fire for us, right, brother? And I mean, it's a totally different fire burning now, right? So I mean, he is cut, he's around the clock. We call him super producer, we call him superstar. But I want to know how did you feel uh of uh about brother CJ playing you, playing the role of Anderson Seacill II. And I want to tell you, even before you answer, that I I was uh well, we'll say God led me to check with CJ about playing you because he wasn't really considering that role uh for quite some time. But I told him it would be very special because Brother Hill got a lot of love for you, my great brother. So the fact that he's connected with me, I'm telling you, this will be special for you to at least play him, at least for the play. And then, of course, when we did the film, at least for the short film, too, and let's see what happens. And I mean, man, we were not disappointed. We weren't disappointed. So tell me how you feel, how you felt about him playing your brother.
SPEAKER_01Well, uh, God is working. I mean, God is working. See, that's I can't, I can't, you, you, you, he put it on your mind and your heart.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_01And you were obedient, obedient. You, you, you came to me, told me, you know, and and of course, it wasn't hard for me to get to that because I've been knowing brother CJ for many years. Uh, he was a former member of my church before he moved out of state. So uh, you know, I've been knowing the brother. I've seen his skills uh for many years when he played Jesus Christ in our productions at Mount Pleasant, Missionary Baptist Church in Orlando. Dr. J. Roy Morrison, past pastor. Let me just get all that in there too. But uh the brother, the brother, I I I I he has adapted because he's a different style, but that shows his his skill set.
SPEAKER_03Right, right.
SPEAKER_01He has he has he has what when it's time when when you say uh uh uh uh let me hear what you say.
SPEAKER_02What what I what I say? I'm I'm trying to see if you be paying attention. Let me see.
SPEAKER_01What are you saying? We gotta put you back in school, bro. Let me see.
SPEAKER_02We gotta put you back in school. I'm like, what do I say? Y'all hear this? What do I say, brother Hill? I mean action. Action, brother.
SPEAKER_04Action.
SPEAKER_02I do exactly what you I was trying to say.
SPEAKER_01I couldn't get it. I couldn't get it. I can't think. That's that old man stuff. That's that old man stuff that I know, yeah. Action. When you say action, CJ Joseph turns into Anderson Hill.
SPEAKER_03Yes, he did.
SPEAKER_01So that's all I can ask for. He he I I'm very comfortable with his portrayal.
SPEAKER_02Oh man.
SPEAKER_01Uh, and and and also the the the other characters that you selected uh for my wife, you know, the other people are are are spot on. You you you have been you have been uh very wise in your selections. Let me just put it like that. I gotta think about it. That's what I'm saying. We always we cannot lean to our own understanding, right? You know, it's him, it's him. He works through us for others, and I and that's what we're talking about, the way he worked through you for me, where we want to get what I'm trying to say out for others, right? You know, and and so that's the way that's the that's just life, man. And when you're obedient to it, it's a good feeling. We're having fun, we're having a great you know, yes, sir. Yeah, we're having a great time. You and I, we've been on different television shows talking about this before. You know, we we we got our own documentaries together, and you know, that we're preserving our uh pursuit of the goal, uh to to to do the feature film one day and and and and and roll it out to the world even further, even further. And I think it's coming. I really do.
SPEAKER_02And as brothers, because they always say, right, we're gonna do this as a TV series eventually. And it's funny that was already in my heart to do because I was like, ain't no way we could tell this full story in one movie, you know. But when he said it, it was like, okay, we all on the greedy. We agree. We agree.
SPEAKER_01Amen. Because see, we we can't get into the what's happened after this. You know, I mean, I I'm trying not to even talk about the way God has blessed me beyond this.
SPEAKER_03Right, right.
SPEAKER_01You see what I'm saying? That's that's what really make when people because when people know me and know what I do now and the way I do it now, you know, that that's part of the story of down here. Oh, yeah. Is the obedience leads to obvious blessings. And and it's my testimony that I didn't do it, it was God, and that's what I believe, and I mean that because I know my weaknesses. I know I'm ready to give up. I'm ready to give up. I can remember when everything went down on me, Brother Dills. I told a reporter that put a mic up in my mouth. I said, my life is oh. And I meant that. Man, my heart was I had I had broken my own heart. Yeah, you know, everything I had gone through, I just I saw it just go out the window. But but God was really just mo, He was taking that and molding and shaping the way He wanted me to be, not the way I want to be. I wanted to be a lawyer. I thought I'd be practicing law. Right, you know, that's what my dream. I was a good lawyer, so but that's not what he wanted me to do. And it took me a while to accept it, but but once I accepted what he wanted in my life, I have been blessed beyond measure.
SPEAKER_02Yes, sir, amen, brother. Man, amen to that. Look at that. You're walking testimony. It sounds like more than one testimony.
SPEAKER_01I have to contain myself, man, because it's just so good. And I want everybody to get some of this.
SPEAKER_03Yes, sir.
SPEAKER_01Get some of it, don't let it go.
SPEAKER_03Amen.
SPEAKER_01Yes, get some of this from God.
SPEAKER_02Get it, amen, amen. And just hearing you talk about that too, Brother Hill. I was just thinking, like oftentimes we want to go this way, but God. God wants us to go that way. And that's I'm telling you, I learned more and more. Every session, every meeting, every rehearsal, I'm just soaking it in, my brother, because I know it's been, God has been making us wait to get here. So just break it down, brother.
SPEAKER_01You know, see, when I was trying to do my thing, right? You know, after I found myself disbarred, let me just go and break it down just. But check it out. So, so then when when when when when when that happened to me, it was my understanding that I would be able to overcome it because academically that was not a challenge for me. See? So then I said, okay, I can be this bar for five years, right? Five years. And then after five years, I'll go take the exam and pass it and get back in the bar. That was my thinking. So I stuck with my plan. After five years, I went and took the exam and passed it. But God didn't want me back in the bar. Listen, so I didn't listen. I kept trying. Your scores, your passing scores under the Florida bar are good for five years. If you don't get admitted within that five-year period, you gotta retake the exam. After five years was up, after I had passed the exam the second time for readmission, five years went by, no admission. Still leaning on my own understanding, I go take it again, pass it again, because they're not gonna show Anderson Hill that they can keep me out because of some academic. But it was more than that. So eventually, Revelation, I heard God say, Brother Hill, leave that alone. You can be successful in other arenas, pursue that. So after I stopped, I in big and before my my second five years was up, see, I stopped. I made the commitment that I would never go back and try to become an attorney again because that's not what God wanted me to do. And I accepted my role that I have now, and I'll let people find out what I do now rather than telling them.
SPEAKER_02They gotta do their own research, right?
SPEAKER_01They got to do their own research. They know I'm not just talking like this and I'm I'm doing whatever. They know that I got a profession and one that speaks for itself. See? Amen. Yes, sir. So so that's what I'm saying. And I give all credit and honor for where I am and me and my family are today, including all the opportunities that you have given me, Brother Dilts, through your expertise and your company, you know, to just give him the glory and give him the praise. Amen. Because I I once I accepted that he didn't want me to be in that profession that I thought that I was made for, my life took off. Took off. So that's my message. Now people can believe it or not, or they can they can they can go see them, get the books. We got several books out that they can read, especially right now. Go see the play. Oh, see the play downhill at Dr. Phillips performing art center. Lord Jesus.
SPEAKER_02It's gonna be a blessing. Wow, wow. Just to hear you say that, man. So what are you looking forward to with Downhill the Play, with Rock Hill to film, with the feature? What are you looking forward to now, my great brother?
SPEAKER_01I'm looking forward to feature film. That's what I'm looking for. I think we are yes. That's my next that's that's that's that's that's the prayer. Oh, yeah, and also the series. Yes, because like you said, I have it's so much that God has shown me. You know, I mean, I got hours and hours and hours of YouTube productions and all of that. If you just want to look and see what I'm into, you can easily find out and check it out and see the whether or not it's substantive or not.
SPEAKER_02Amen, my great brother. Well, thank you so much, my great brother, brother Anderson. See here the second. Man, it's been truly a blessing, sir. Man, I've learned so much from you, I've grown so much because of you. Like you're truly a blessing in my life and in the lives of my family. So thank you so much, man.
