The Slippery Slope - #2 in our Fallacies for Kids Series
The Slippery Slope: A Gobblefunk Day Mix-Up! π§π±
It's almost Great Gobblefunk Day in Snaggleton, and Sylvaris the Elf (played by Eda!) is making yummy Bubble Burpers β cupcakes that make rainbow bubbles! π She makes so many, she decides to send a basket to the giant Thundersmashers as a friendly gift! π
But Wizzlethorp the Wizard (played by Elise!) π§ββοΈ and Fergus O'Gold the Leprechaun (played by Nicholas!) π are worried! They think giving treats to the Thundersmashers is a "slippery slope"! They imagine a whole chain of terrible things happening: running out of ingredients, everyone getting skinny and their pants falling down, and even Magimajura falling apart! ππ₯
Just as they're yelling their warnings, Sylvaris's hippogriff, Thunderclaw, takes off with the basket! π¦ Oh no! The Snaggletonians panic, preparing for a giant attack from hungry Thundersmashers! π
Will their fears come true, or will they learn a valuable lesson about imagining the worst? Find out what happens to the Bubble Burpers and if Snaggleton is safe after all!
After the story, we'll be joined again by Stephanie Simoes from Critikid.com! She'll help us understand logical fallacies, and specifically, the Slippery Slope Argument β just like what Wizzlethorp and Fergus used in our story! π€
