LOCAL: Soccer league creates fall season

The Pipestone Area Soccer League will conduct a first-of-its-kind fall season. League officials report interested children may still register to participate. Practices began on Monday, Aug. 10 at the JBS SportsPlex. Sessions will be on Mondays and Thursdays, with pre-kindergarten through first-grade players training 5:15-6 p.m., second- and third-graders 5:15-6:15 p.m. and fourth- to eighth-graders 6:30-7:30 p.m. Currently, league officials report 61 kids have signed up — enough for nine teams.
