Data centers look boring from the outside, but I think they are the most important buildings being put up right now. I’m Heidi from Surviving Changes, and I’m sharing a fast, direct explanation of what I believe these facilities are really for and why I’m not going to keep repeating it. No charts, no graphs, just the core claim: these are data and fusion centers designed to collect, store, and combine what you do, where you go, and what your devices capture about you.

I walk through the moment that flipped a switch for me back in 2009, when I read Facebook’s terms and conditions and realized how much data collection was not only possible, but also legally permitted when you agree to it. Then I widen the lens to today’s ecosystem: Amazon, Google, Meta, TikTok, and more, all feeding a world where “it’s for marketing” becomes the easy explanation we accept. I argue that marketing is real, but it is not the endpoint. The deeper risk is China-style technology control, where cameras, sensors, and financial systems connect tightly enough to enforce rules instantly.

From there, I connect the dots on technologies people debate in isolation: blockchain recordkeeping, Zoom-based schooling in 2020, and 5G as the connective layer that helps older tech work together. I also share a concrete example of traffic camera monitoring that shows how quickly movement can become searchable history. The big takeaway is simple and unsettling: once all that data sits in one place, AI monitoring can be used to restrict access to your bank, your car, your phone, and your choices.

Hey there, Heidi from the Surviving Changes podcast, and I'm gonna tell you just one time what these data centers are about. Then here in about a year or so, you can't say that no one told you. I'm not gonna give you charts, I'm not gonna give you graphs or any of that. You're gonna need to do your own research. And I'm only telling you this one time. Doing that anymore is dangerous, uh, and there's literally no upside for me. So if I tell you once quickly and then leave it alone,

Why I Only Say This Once

um I'll just be punished. I'm not killed. All right. So here goes. These data centers that you guys are all confused about, they're uh fusion centers essentially. They're data and fusion centers. And I warned you about them for the first time back in 2009. Back then, I told you that I had read the terms and conditions of Facebook. I needed to do that before I could let any of my lawyers put it on their work phones. And what I learned at that time was that everything, literally every single thing that you do, say the places you

Data Centers As Fusion Centers

go, everything was being recorded and saved by Facebook. Um, and because it was in their terms and conditions, it was completely legal, 100%

Facebook Terms And Total Data Capture

legal. I was like, how could they possibly collect all of that data? I mean, everything, right? From everyone using Facebook, everything seemed pretty crazy. So I dug farther. And what I found out was that they had a data center in the middle of Utah that was built to hold all of the data from everyone all day long on Facebook users. Now imagine how big such a data center would need to be to hold just that info. Pretty big, right? I thought it was crazy, but I kept looking. Now that was 2009. Fast forward 16 years, and include Amazon, Google, Meta, TikTok, and all of the others. Each one of these companies has in their terms and conditions that they can track you, including recording you when your phone is off. Now that's a lot of data. That's a lot of data. If you question them as to why they need to do such a thing, they're gonna tell you that it's for marketing, and we just accept that.

From Marketing To China-Style Control

And of course they do use it for marketing too. But that was never the purpose. They're the enemies of the people, the corporations. Um, the purpose was to eventually control us with technology, just like it's done in China. Now, did you happen to see recently when Brett Bear was in China? Now, I don't know why he was there because I don't watch him, but what I did see was what happened to him while he was there. He was in a car and they were driving. He was with a guy, and they pulled over for just one minute, maybe two, in a no parking zone. They got out, looked around. By the time they got back in the car, they had been issued a ticket, and and and that money was deducted from their bank account before they even got back to their car. Yeah. So how does that happen? It happens with a shit ton of technology. That's how. Flock cameras are connected, traffic cameras are connected, satellite cameras are connected, and guess what? At least two dozen items in your home right now are connected, monitored, recorded, and the data saved for decades. Decades. 45 years they've gone back on this thing called blockchain. Have you heard about blockchain? It is a really, really great technology when it's used correctly, but in the wrong hands, it really, really is not agreed. And they've had blockchain in place now since mostly 2020. By the way, all of that homeschooling that you did in 2020 using Zoom, that was their way to get inside of your home legally.

Blockchain, Zoom, And 5G Connections

I promise you, nothing has been the same since then. Nothing. Right about that time, 5G was also deployed. Do you understand what 5G actually is? It's a new technology, but all it does is connect all of the old technology. That's what all of those other little antenna things are all over the place. Those things let everything connect. See, they had a problem having too many old phones out there that could be used to bypass everything. So 5G, what it actually does is allow all of the lower technologies to work together. Get all of your data in one place. Now I thought Trump was coming to save us, uh, but it's one of his buddies that actually helped China implement all of that tech. Now that same guy is working with the military to do that same thing in the US. So I don't know what's going on with that guy. Um, but if you don't think that that kind of stuff is possible, you're simply ignorant. Um, when I was a lawyer way back in the day, Linwood, Washington had traffic cameras at every single light. No big deal, it seems, right? But if you went in to see where those cameras were actually all monitored, what you realized was that it was a very, very big deal. Everywhere in Linwood that you drove. Every single spot was recorded and monitored with cameras that could see every single thing in

Traffic Cameras And Real-Time Tracking

your car that was remotely visible. If you wanted, uh, you could actually go in there and monitor your spouse, Leslie, as they drove through Linwood. You could just drop in and you could actually watch them leave the house and drive all the way to work at the Red Lobster. It was creepy. Uh, and that was back then in 2004. Now, to save all of that, right? All that info, Linwood would need data centers to connect all of that data with all of the other places, right? You need uh monitoring, you need big data centers, huge data centers. So, right now, all of these places, companies, creeps that have been keeping their data separately. The plan is to put all of that data in one spot and to use AI to monitor us, just like in China. Uh, one day you're going to wake up and not have control of your bank, your car, your phone, or your life. Uh, and that is what the data centers are needed for. That's it's

AI Monitoring And Losing Control

not underground powers, none of that. It's still a big deal, but it's not that. I'm Heidi, and you can go to survivingchanges.com or follow the Surviving Changes podcast. If I talk more about these things in the future, that's where you'll find it. Have a great day.
