Rory plays a few songs for us and shares a little-known story from his family tree about the Chicago Shanahans, and sings a couple songs of his father, Tommy Makem and The Clancy Brothers. The 1916 remembrance also includes a song from the brand new Makem & Spain album, Four Pounds a Day, and tunes from Charlie Lennon, The High Kings, Cherish the Ladies the Wolfe Tones and a poem from Padraig Pearse himself.
