In this episode, Josh and Andrea wrap up 2019 and head into 2020 with a discussion on a very appropriate topic for the New Year: reflection. What is the value of reflection in education? How do you “do reflection” in Project Based Learning? They introduce their interview guest for this episode, senior student William Likens from CSA New Tech. The spend a few minutes discussing the value of reflection and why it is an important part of the PBL process, especially from a student perspective. William discusses some reflection strategies that have really resonated with him over the years as a PBL student. The interview with William wraps up and Josh and Andrea dive deeper into some of the strategies of reflection from the perspective of a facilitator as it pertains to projects and growth in the classroom. Finally, they reflect on 2019 and set some New Year’s Resolutions for 2020.
